One Testicle?

Ok so i have a ASPR colt who just turned 3. He only seems to have one testicle decended. I've been more into mini's and know they can decend after 3...but what about with the ponies? what's the odd's he'll drop? I really cringe at the thought of gelding due to price..our vets around here charge an arm and a leg WITH both testicles..without it's double usually. ... and of course i couldn't use him as a stud being a crypt......... what to do what to do?

I had a ASPC Stallion who I thought for sure had only one decended, but it was hidden and hard to find in his inner thigh. The vet came out twice before she found it and then she showed me where to look and low and behold there it was. She said it was OK. He was a 2yr old though, and we did lose him a few days later due to colic. So we never had a chance to use him as a stud.

Good luck and keep looking, it just might be hidden like my guy's was.

boy i hope so. previous owners had said they'd take him back..but i really like him and am growing pretty attached to him! I think this boy has tons of potential..he naturally has sooooo much action. I've poked, proded and groped the poor guy...lol i know that thrills him to no ends.. but i also know he'll suck his decended testicle up in too.. i'm just hoping the other just is there somewhere sucked up...LOL

but quite honestly not sure i'd know what exactly to feel for up inside him..LOL I mean sure i know what a testicle feel's like as far as decended..lol maybe i should take him to the vet and see if they can find it for me.
