gorgeous, tiny, chestnut pinto colt. We are so thrilled to have our first "textbook" delivery, a live healthy foal, and no need for the vet, that we don't care if the filly fairy was somewhere else. We started breeding in 2006, so we waited a long time for this. The vet came over anyway because he was so concerned, he had been calling every day to see how things were going!!

Sire is SRF Buckshot and dam is Vermilyea Farms Exotic Exposure, so he is half brother to Max. Name suggestions are most welcome - we thought something with a shooting theme (for On Target Miniatures) but that might also include camera shooting, such as "Snapshot".

Photos are from just minutes old..

ETA: This is our only 2010 foal delivered HERE: he should be joined soon by our buckskin pinto filly foaled out at Star Ridge Acres, and her mom, Alamos Sirs Toffee Snow. Thanks Parmela!!!

I am so happy for you I know all the heartbreak you have been thru over the years and so glad you were blessed with a beautiful healthy foal.

And he is really a nice looking baby CONGRATS

Once again, congratulations Mary. Aren't you glad you didn't give up when things were looking glum in the past?

You handled yourself like a pro on the cam last night!

Thank you everyone!!! Yes, this is the very same mare that had us almost giving up breeding exactly a year ago. And yes, we are very glad we didn't give up, and I agree with Leia that this colt is as nice as Max!! Speaking of whom, he goes before the judges again on Sunday....

You can watch Sox and this baby live (for awhile anyway) at http://www.marestare.com/fcam.php?alias=ontarget.
