Got this email this morning, wondering if this is for real. The part that bothers me is the "verify your acct" plus theres more where they are going to suspend my account. I checked it and see nothing except the few purchases that I have done lately.

Unauthorized access to your PayPal account!

We recently noticed more attempts to log in to your PayPal account from a foreign IP address.

If you accessed your account while traveling, the unusual log in attempts may have been initiated by you. However, if you are the rightfull holder of the account, please visit Paypal as soon as possible to verify your identity:

Click here to verify your account

Dont give information without checking directly with Paypal first. One thing they do say on their site is that if they do contact you it will be by using your name not Paypal user or anything like that. So check it out first.

Hi- I have not received this specific email from paypal- but have been inudated with spoof emails saying they are from paypal and ebay- there is an address on there site to send questionable email to- and they will get back to you and let you know if it is on the up and up-

Also I would not click on it and reply that way- you could end up logging into a spoof site.

Go to paypal itself then log into your account and see if there is any new for you there or if you get flagged when you enter your account. It would not hurt to check your account for any activity that you were not expecting.

Hope this helps.

It is completely bogus!!

Put it into full headers and forward it to [email protected] Don't click on any of the links or ever give out account information when asked for it through an email like that. If you have any concerns you can log into your paypay account on their website, the same goes for ebay. All these attempts at scamming are so annoying!!!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT VERIFY NOTHING!

They sent the same thing to me and I fell for it about a year ago.

I was a victim of Identity Theft and that is how they got all my information. I had no idea and boy oh boy the trouble it cost me.

FORWARD IT TO "spoofatpaypal.com" and then delete it.

Its a scam. Pay Pal and eBay will start with your name not "Dear Pay Pal user" or Dear eBay Membeer. They will identify your ebay id . They will also not ask for you to verify anything in an email or link. If it was legit they would direct you to go to your acct and not provide a link. Do not even open the email because in some cases just opening it will download a homepage hijacker to your computer and there is little you can do about it since you opened the link.

I did forward it to Paypal and you guys are right, its bogus. I should be ok since I didnt log into the address they wanted me to go to. Called the credit card company and there are no charges. WHEW! Thanks for the paypal spoof addy, they sure were quick to get back to me tonight.
