My husband loves these planes. He has a birthday coming up soon and I would like to get him something that has to do with the PBY, but not a model. Any ideas? (I would love to get him one of the planes, but they are a little out of my price range!)

Go to ebay, Search for PBY Catalina. You will come up with mostly models BUT you will also find: This is a rare chance to own an original piece of a World War Two USN Consolidated PBY Catalina seaplane. The engine sync gauge instrument is actually called the synchroscope and it is used by the pilots to balance the engine rpm between the two engines. PBY Cataline gage on Ebay
