Has anyone ever thought of doing this? I know many people find it morbid. I am not sure what I really think. I don't think I would do it, but can certainly understand people who do as someone who has lost pets.

They apparently will do this with horses too.

Now I am talking about a personal pet, not someone who auctions off taxidermied horses as 'art' such as people who had been called out for stuffing dwarf mini foals as I read somewhere.

Warning, pics of freeze dried pets.

I do not think this is for me, but yes, there is people who need their pets near by.

, that is just too creepy for me. Cisco really got me, almost found it disrespectful. To me my pets are family and I couldn't imagine having grandma freeze dried and sitting in an easy chair in the corner...JMO, Nikki [/SIZE]

Oh that is GROSS....No Way! Sorry, I find that totally creepy.

ETA..I agree with Nikki..disrespectful

That is creepy to me too!!! I just couldn't do it!! Weird thing is that these folks are right down the road from me. Haven't seen them advertising this service in the local paper.

WOW~~ that would never be for me. That is just disgusting and very disrespectful for our "fur kids" who we loved so much. Corinne

Hmmmm well I am not sure I could do it for me it would be painful of a reminder I dont think it is disrespectful IMO but that is just MY opinon. Since I dont believe they are with there body any more anyway I know when I go I dont really care what happens to my body (heck I have fought with it for years I dont need to fight about it after I die)

I would prefer to not be buried but really I cant see how it would matter once I am gone.

I do know though that Raven would have found it very comforting for her to have Foxy around but dont think I could have handled it

I could't do it to one of my pets...it freaks me out! I would think having your pet their all the time would make the grieving even longer and harder, but to each his own.

We took my husbands deer head in to the taxidermist the other day and there was a dog mounted there in a sitting position and it totally freaked me out...gave me the heebie geebies! It looked like a mix about 50lbs...very pretty, cute dog but it still freaked me out.
