For those of you taking photos using the round reflectors.

What sizes and colors do you find work the best for nice photos?

I notice that there are different combinations.....white/gold......silver/gold.....white/silver then there are reversibles etc.

AND what is the best, gold or soft gold.

If you have examples of the photos you have taken using a reflector, I'd love to see them.

I just can't make up my mind, which color to purchase.

If you look at the lower right corner you will see the reflector. It is about 30" round. I have always used silver with portraits and horses.

Hope that helps.

You can get 2-sided reflectors...my photographer has one that is white on one side, silver on the other. She uses the white side for a softer, more diffused effect and the silver side for a sharper contrast.

It would be great to have both, as it depends upon the lighting conditions and the effect that you want.

I bought my disc type reflector off Ebay. It wasn't too expensive either. I will to try and remember how it was listed. Mine has gold, silver, white, and black. I haven't used it yet though.

That would be great thanks! I didn't know it could even come with more than 2 colors at once. That would be great. Give me more options! Looking forward to getting that info

I have never used a reflector for photos- just grab them around the farm- ha, I am sure you can tell by the photos!

What effects do you really get from them and what is the main purpose of using one- what does it do for the pic? (and the horse)
