Hi!

Well.... I will be moving later this summer (if the weather ever cooperates!

). It's just a mile down the road from where I live now. I've rented this OLD farm place now for 4 years.... I will be living right next door from my parents. It will be on 20 acres.... which is basically all pasture and LOTS of trees that need to be taken out........ Lots of work ahead of me..... basically starting from scratch.

My mom designed my house..... 1500 sq ft home and it will be a Berm home. I don't know if there's another technical name for a Berm home. But it's a 3 sided basement...... And then will have a 32x60 horse barn (insolated) and set up for my minis! I CAN NOT WAIT!!!!!! But I have a few pictures of the place "before" they got started when the old barn was still up....We took the barn down...... and then finally this past week they got started on my house! It's AMAZING how quick it can go up! Now have to wait for it to quit raining and let things dry up. I will be SOOOOOO relived to get moved over there! Will feel MUCH safer and protected than where I am at now..... There's SO much wild life that lives right in there too!

I'm trying to keep up on the pictures as my place progresses........ I'm SOOOOOOO EXCITED thougH! Thanks for letting me share!!

Congratulations!! I know how excited you are since our new home was just finished. Just one little word of caution that you probably know about already anyway--make sure you spend the extra on a radon seal and radon vent pipes! Berm homes are very energy effecient, but also VERY succeptable to radon! Congratulations again!! I can't wait to see update pics!

But like Marlee has stated..... The early parts go up FAST but then there's LOTS of waiting after that! "Supposedly" we are to be about done by August..... I won't hold my breath! The weather would have to cooperate ALLOT!

I'm so tired of living in a house with a MOLDY basement and a basement that is caving in and every time it rains the water just poors in down stairs..... SCAREY! That's just one of the things I have had to live with for the past 4 years..... and where I just rent...... just have had to live with it!

So I hope my getting colds and sick 1/2 the time are due to that and "STRESS"...... will lighten up!

I've never lived in any sort of a "new" place....... so will be a real culture shock and one that I think I could get REAL use to!

I will ALSO have a Open house too when it's all done and ready to view for the public! I wish you all could come visit!!
