My horses are shedding! The hay trailer is more than 1/2 empty which means spring is right around the corner!

I have a cute lil two week old foal out in the barn.

There are daffodils coming up and blooming. The pussywillows are popping out and the birds around here are pairing up (I see Bald Eagles mating and hanging together, my resident Raven has even found a gorgeous blue-black lady to mate with, and the Red Tails are flirting).

The grass is starting to grow again after the cold snap.

Even though last week was wild and wooly with the high winds

and freezing temps, the field workers have been out for about

2 weeks picking the daffodils.......that is our check point for

thinking spring is around the corner.

We live, surrounded by daff fields. It is so gorgeous in the spring.

They don't look like much the rest of the year but man spring is incredible.

Birds have been 'talking' outside my bedroom window for weeks now, in the

early AM. The Robin Red Breasts are everywhere.......

Come on spring!!!!!!!!!!!

It's felt like spring on and off pretty much the whole winter here and thats not normal. Unfortunately my Day Lillies are already about an inch out of the ground.......we're getting alot of road kill now

: ...looks like the critters are starting to come out of hibernation. We've had Robins around the whole winter!

They just never left!! I should'nt complain because we've not had a deep freeze this year...and I hope we don't...just a few cold snaps. But man I'm ready for spring!!!

Here, the tulips have spouted and begun to poke out of the ground. The Sandhill Cranes have been heading back North for over a month. It looks like Bomber Brigades flying over

: , and the noise! Amazing. The trees are beginning to leaf out too, the horses have lost most of their winter coats.

The bad thing is....we can usually expect one more good cold snap before it really becoms spring here.

Well, the minis are starting to shed..even though it was around the teens this week; last week we almost got into the 70s! Everyone thinks because of the wild weather, we are going to have a really bad tornado season this spring
