Question on fostering

Once you're a member, how do you become a foster home? To my knowledge they're aren't any here in Maine and I'd like to start one. What is the proceedure?

all you have to do is fill out the foster or the adoption form if the foster form is still not working. You must have 3 written references with phone numbers and pictures of your farm and where the foster will be kept

What information would you need from the references? I'm sure they'll ask "what should I say". I really want to do this, not sure if there's much need here but we should be set up and prepared just in case. In Maine minis are still not very common but I'm sure we'll catch up with the rest of the country. I'm also a member of the Maine Miniatures Club that is working on getting accredited with the regitstrys so I feel I could have a good number of network people here. Thanks Kay.

Thank you Nila, another member is very interested in getting a mini rescue set up and going also. Minis aren't real common in Maine, but they are growing and I think just like anything else that once they catch on, unfortunately a rescue will be needed. Any tips or help will be very appreciated.
