ok, I died my hair (turned out good by the way)...it was with this new product Clairol 10 - only needs 10 mins....worked great but I got some on the back of my neck, forehead, and my ear (it was dark brown dye) and boy did it stain my skin. I called Clairol and he said use SeaBreeze astrigent to remove it. I of course didn't have any of that and had to drive around for two hours to find any. The SeaBreeze did lighten it, but didn't take it off...maybe because I couldn't get to it right away...but anyhow anyone know of anything else that might take it off???

here is what I've tried so far other than the SeaBreeze...peroxide, rubbing alcohol, non acetone nail polish remover, vinegar, makeup remover....

HELP...I look like a coal miner and smell like a pickle right now...any suggestions?

How long do you think it will take to just wear off?

Try baby oil.

My grandbaby had a rub-on tattoo that they tried everything to get it off and nothing worked, until I tried baby oil.

When l did one of the horses tails the glove l was wearing broke and all the black dye leaked all over my hand in there all squishy like. l called Clariol and was told that l should just use a TONER like Olay so having some anyway l did and unreal it all came of after going over my hand twice even all the little lines and around the nails where it really seems to soak in was nice and clean. Try it l bet the farm it works.

If you have ANY of the left over color where you can get to it.. (THIS IS GOING TO SOUND CRAZY) but take some on your finger and rub it really good on what your wanting off and then just wipe off with a wet cloth. It works, I do that stuff for a living.

Now when i color my hair i just go to a professional, but when my mother use to color my hair i would rub a little baby oil around my hair line so if any got on my skin it wouldnt stick. But that was before you color your hair, guess im not much help

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I tried the baby oil...nothing. I don't have any of the dye left. I thought about paint thinner but was worried putting that on body parts that are kinda sensitive, same with the turpentine. It did get lighter overnight and I'm going to do the seabreeze again...my skin is getting sore from scrubbing it though. I had got my hair cut...about chin length before I dyed it, so the dye on my neck is noticeable unless I wear a collared shirt...the forehead you can't really see since I have bangs, same with the ear, so it's not THAT noticeable, but still I want to get it off.

l called Clariol and was told that l should just use a TONER like Olay so having some anyway l did and unreal it all came of
Seabreeze is considered a toner too, I think. I don't have olay toner, just the moisturizer. I didn't know they made olay toner....I'll have to get some.

Thanks again for the suggestions...I'm going to be much more careful next time!

try nail polish remover. I have used it for black hair dye, and it works great. I always get in on me somewhere.

and nail polish remover always works. Then just wash really good.

I have never had that happen. I usually see it starting to turn on my skin and I get it off with a wet rag. I bet this 10 min. stuff must be strong. I did dye 2 of my dogs on Sat.. LOL. They stay under my feet and got some on them. My choc. female has a couple orange spots on her and my choc. piebald has a new dark patch between her eyes. LOL. Poor babies. The things they put up with. I don't understand how I got it on them but I did.

Good luck in getting it off. I sure hope you don't burn your skin with all the stuff you are putting on it.

Toothpaste!

I dye my hair black (coal black) often and I always have the stains on my face, ears and nape and most of the time the kitchen floor of my Cousin's house.. toothpaste and some scrubbin' works all of the time..

A suggestion for next time. Before you start use a hand cream or body lotion on your neck, ears and face. Even on your hands in case you rib a glove. Apply it really heavy and do not rub it in. After you apply the color use a wet cloth to remove any dark stains. reapply lotion if needed. As you rinse out the color rinse off the lotion.

They sell moist cloths at drug stores to remove stains from hair color. They "usually" work very well.

When doing a main or tail you can put vaseline on both sides of the main and if it drips it won't leave any dye.
