Does anyone know where I could find a black and red harness browband? What I am looking for is either black vinyl or patent with the red beading in the center. I have hunted high and low and can only find ornate silver brows or crystal. I would even settle for plain black leather if I can find it. My harness has a black patent saddle with red piping and I am trying to match it. Thanks!

Thanks! Yes I did, I just revisited it at your suggestion and all I could find was the "tiffany" style and the crystal type. Maybe I will just have to buy a whole new headstall and keep it for "best", I have tossed around that idea. I have found Zilco ones that would look OK, but they don't have mini sizes. Maybe I'll try pony size, he does have a very broad forehead for such a little beast.

I like national bridle shop. They have gaited tack, patent and vinyl brow bands and cavesson sets. They also sell mini tack. I did not find a mini sized one, but the weanling size may work for you. I do know they used to do custom orders, you could call and ask, they have always treated me well.

Bedford tack has patent and vinyl browbands from suckling to horse size in the color you are looking for for very reasonable prices.

Thank you! I will look into these suggestions. I will give me something to do today. It's -10 outside. The stalls got cleaned mighty fast today!

You're doing better than me, at -12° I decided to wait until tomorrow to clean my stalls!!

Have you contacted Showtime directly...even if they dont have what you want on their website, they may be able to make one for you. If you are on FB contact Stephanie Gilchrist, really great to work with!

Thank you for all the responses. I think I am going to buy a new headstall and that should hopefully solve a couple of issues at once. I tried on his old bridle yesterday and it reminded me that it's just not quite right, it just does not "sit" or "settle" on his head in the crown area no matter what I do, so probably for the sake of Peanut's sanity I should upgrade. I talked to Star Lake and they have one that should fit and they were very helpful.

I have been in contact with a local trainer, he hopefully will be coming to evaluate him and see if he wants to work with us for a few lessons and a spring tune-up with the hope of maybe going in a couple of driving classes this summer, which I have never done. I am nervous/excited.
