I've got a cremello that I am wanting to show this year and I am wondering a few things about getting him show ready.

1) what size blade to use on the body and face

2) how far in advance to clip so that the horse is not pink but still nicely presentable

3) how to get his mane and tail pearly white

4) would a black halter with a blue noseband look best to accentuate his blue eyes?

5) what show gear (blankets, slinkies, etc) are a must have for a cremello?

1)I used a 15 to show clip my boy and would do his muzzle and whiskers with a 30---wanted to add that I WONT razor a white horse, all that pink skin is not attractive to me, I like to keep more of the white :D

2) usually one or 2 days before the show as his hair grows back faster than my colored horses for some reason

3)I dont do any special cleaning on him other than what I use on everyone. Orvus shampoo and then healthy hair conditioner. Also SHOW SHEEN is very important to help keep them clean.

4)I think a black halter with blue noseband would look very nice

5)I always keep two full body sleeves on hand in case one would get dirty, plus a sheet to put over the body too as that seems to be the most likely place for my boy anyways if he was going to get dirty. I also wrap legs when trailering to keep legs clean when hauling very far.

I also keep baby wipes and towels with me at ringside just in case :D
