Slate our Orion son and Joleen a pintaloosa carrying bloodlines of nat. ch. X CALIBERS LITTLE NAVAJO , ROWDY, BOND SHOWBOY, BOND SIR GALAHAD, along with lots of other Bond and Komoko horses just had a lovely son. Slate is a national champion producer and full brother to several national champions. Since Slate is in his 20s and Barbara and I coown him, this boy will be staying! Slate is scheduled to go back to texas this fall and he produces mostly fillies so all the more reason! Take a look----------- PINTALOOSA!!!!!!!!!!! But aside from the wild color he has a teacup muzzle and is refined and elegant.

Of course in keeping with this strange birthing season this one was exciting too. I wear the equipage beeper all the time and had been all the way at the back of our property photographing some of the family out on one of our lakes. I come back to the house and just felt like I should look for the millionth time at the mares and Jolene was standing there and boom her water breaks. Right away here comes the baby and she is standing up! The alarm never goes off as she never laid flat. I catch the baby, Jolene walks right off breaking the cord and plops down about 50 feet away and still is not laying flat. Needless to say once I saw this foal I was ssssooooooo happy I had been there to make sure he made it. Usually with a new foal I check soon as it is breathing ok to see the sex. With this foal I didnt even bother to look for about 20 min. or so as it didnt really matter I knew it was a keeper!!!

We are excited, Jen
