Hello

I was wondering if someone could tell me what that site is for the free stud book information? Does it give AMHA and AMHR information?

Also could someone tell me if these two horses are AMHR registered?

Alvadars Double Destiny - I think he is but not sure.

Olive Branchs Onyx Supreme

Thank you

AMHA does not have a free studbook, but you can subscribe to both AMHA and AMHR online studbooks for a total of $75 a year.

AMHA - $25

AMHR - $50

Double Destiny is AMHR

Olive Branchs Onyx Supreme is not AMHR.

Thank you

Yes, I already have AMHA

I would not use the AMHR enough to make it worth my while to get it.

Thanks again.

www.horsestudbook.com is FREE and up to date for AMHR/ASPC!!! It has pictures, pedigree, show record, people records, produce records, pedigree history ext. Its updated M-F as paperwork is processed / updated at the office. I check in a few times a week (...well actually day) to see the horses that are being registered and to do searches. Takes only a moment to sign up, and like I said, its Free. I don't think enough people realize that it is there to be used considering what our registry pays for it..

I don't know if it is because I am on dial up or what but I do not like using the horsestudbook.com. It isn't very user friendly for me. Might not be dial up, just me. ?

Terri--I'm on dial up & don't have any real problems with horsestudbook. It is ornery about going back when you use the 'back' button, you always have to hit refresh & then retry--that is a bit of clumsiness that could be improved on--but otherwise it works well for me.

On another board I'm on there was someone who complained that it was hard to do pedigree searches because it would let you see only one generation at a time. I said no, when you call up the pedigree it shows you a number of generations--the person said all the ones she had looked at showed only sire and dam for any particular horse. As it turned out she wasn't looking at the right page. She was on the main page that you get when you do a search by horse name--she was missing the fact that you click on the little box on the left hand side and that takes you into that horse's individual page, and then from there you can get the multi-generation pedigree.

I looked up one of my horses that I know has an AMHR show history but there is no history. Is it only there for last year? How many years back should it go and I would think show history would be what would show HOF points.
