Stupid question re Secret Santas

We now have our names of our Secret Santa and I already got it planned but when I send it to that secret friend, do I put my name as who it is from? Or do I keep it annnomys? I missed last year due my little crisis so this is my first time..

l must be misunderstanding something l thought it was suppose to be a secret hence the name S/S. l know l can be dumb but l went to a lot of trouble to keep myself a secret from the person l sent to l even went so far as to use another family members name that is way different from mine..

OK, Now I am confused--this is my first year. In other groups that I have participated in SS, we all would send secret stuff a time or two for a few weeks and then reveal ourselves with the final-and best-gift. That is why I figured we would reveal ourselves when we sent the gift. I hope to figure this out before I send mine. I ordered the gift and it isn't here yet. Don't want to spoil the fun of others.

What I have done the last two years this has been done is.....

I just put my return address (MINUS my name) on the outside of the package and then inside the package inside a card I put my name. That way if the package gets lost the address is on the outside so it can be returned to the mailer, yet if it makes it to it's S.S. then they don't have to know their sender when they receive it - but can find out as soon as opening it. That way if they want to wait till Christmas day to open they still have the thrill of not knowing - or if they want to open the day they get it and find out they can.

This is how its explained on another mini forum, this is just a small part of what was explained

"Everyone will send one gift and everyone will receive one gift. But you keep it a secret...only the person that receives the gift will know who their Secret Santa is (at least until it's all over)"

Not sure if thats how its being done on here or not....

Heck you people are saying that the person l already sent to was suppose to know who it was from?? l used another name and address on the parcel cause when l took it in l was told it had to have a name and address of the sender and also the card l enclosed just said from your secret santa hope you like this.

Oh well.

Well, mine's gonna be pretty obvious in any case, but I HAVE to put my details on because of security reasons, and have to show my drivers licence, so they're gonna think somethings fishy if I put a different name on there than my own.

The "secret" part is not knowing who/where your gift is coming from.

YES put who it is from inside the gift! I will need to know of the gifts recieved & sent by whom. I'm trying very hard to not have anyone Not get a gift this year. So I must keep track.

I put my name on the return address because it was leaving the country and I did not want any problems with customs. It is wraped under the brown paper. And inside the nice pretty box. are 2 items unwrapped and another one wrapped.

I also put another address inside incase the brown paper was torn off.

Having lived in other countries for years. I have had my share of packages with torn off paper. Parts of boxes. And even a small piece of paper with my address and no thing else delivered.

So I try to be careful with what I mail.

Hope my person will enjoy your gift and get it in one piece.

I will do as suggested, put name on card INSiDE gift only and also email ROKO when I recieve mine. I won't be shipping for two more weeks so you SS out there will just have to wait
