Artie didn't go into surgery until about 11 this morning, I got there while she was in recovery and just barely on her feet. She was pretty wobbly as expected, but they were pleased with the surgery and feel she will come through it just fine. She's got a heck of an incision LOL, and I know we have a long road ahead of us, but I'm so relieved to have this behind her. She will probably be there about 10 days. I was there a good while this afternoon - and my internet has been out most of the day so couldn't get on to give an update until now.
Thanks everyone for your good wishes - and thanks Stacy for your support, we talked as I stood in recovery and watched Artie wobble from side to side
. Will keep you posted, cross your fingers that everything continues to go well for her.

The assisting vet assured me Artie would get lots of attention there LOL - it's a busy clinic, lots of race horse clients and everytime I've had a mini in there they get absolutely spoiled! Her "neighbor" in the next stall is well over 17 hands...
