Well it looks like I might be heading to Texas for the Worlds in Fort Worth! YAAAAAAAY! I'm wondering if there's any "MUST DO'S" in and around that area? What are some good sights to go see? I tried looking on the internet but only a museum came up!

It depends on what you want to do. In Ft. Worth there are musuens, art galleries, old cowtown, amusement parks, and just about anything else. Depends on you and your age I guess.

Billy Bob's Restaurant

Stock Yards (shopping!)

Cowgirls Museum

Kimbell Art Museum

Six Flags over Texas Amusement Park

LOTS to do, I just can't think of it!

Me and a friend went to the World show back in 2005.

We had a great time doing other things too.

The stockyards is fun!

But I'd have to say, the Zoo is a must!!! It's the best zoo I have ever been too, and I've been to a lot of zoos! My friend agreed with me and we have been to the San Diego Zoo together, and thought the Fort Worth zoo surpassed it.

And for a great restaurant........Ginger Brown's Old Tyme Restaurant is awesome. We were only there for 5 days and ended up at that restaurant twice. It's very unassuming and next to a grocery store about 10 minutes from the show.

Uncle Julio's for mexican! YUM!

Cowgirls Hall of Fame, right on the grounds.

Fabulous! Thanks for the replies!!!

What exactly is the stockyard? Is it like a shopping mall or is it an atual stockyard i.e. auction type situation?

I'm super excited, the only places in the States I've been to before are Oregon and Washington so it should be a lot of fun!

The first thing that comes to mind is the awesome skyline of downtown Dallas at night. Make a special trip for that, it is gorgeous!! We always plan our trips to make that area a night trip.

If you make the trip, Welcome to Texas!!
