[SIZE=14pt]Thank You All so much for your heart felt support and all your prayers for Patty Twink! She was a very big part of the "Brat Pack" and bestest friends with little Angel! Patty will be missed here but never forgotten! She will live on in our hearts forever! She was such a sweet little horse and mother hen to all that were with her! We still have Angel, Lil Abner, Patches and Orchid as part of the "Brat Pack"[/SIZE]

[SIZE=18pt]For those who wish to know, here's what happened to Patty![/SIZE]

Patty coliced on Friday afternoon! I took her to the hospital, where the vet tubed and oiled her! She seemed to get better that evening! I had her stalled in a birthing stall under camera so I could watch her! She pooped about 9:00 PM and ate a little grass hay! I watched her throught the night and she seemed OK! Staurday morning she was up walking around and doing OK, I thought! About 10:30 AM Sat. she started shaking and sweating, and then she colasped. We couldn't get her up, so we lifted her onto a tarp and slid her across the barn lot to the trailer! She was just too heavy for Wanalynn and myself to lift! We pulled and lifted her into the trailer! We both knew in our hearts she was in bad shape! I rushed her 15 miles to our vets hospital while Wanalynn phoned ahead to tell them we were on the way! Got there in record time and we carried Patty into the hospital! Our vet rushed in and checked her and drew blood for some tests! Patty took 2 very deep breaths and passed away! Needless to say, my vet and myself was stunded. Our vet seems to think she may have had a twisted gut or a major impaction! We will know tomorrow when we get the necropsy report back! She will be sadly missed here at W W Miniatures and missed most of all by little Angel!

I'm so sorry for your loss. Whatever they find on the necropsy, it was obviously catastrophic and there was nothing more you could do for her. I'm just glad you were with her when she took her last breath. She knew you were trying to help her and I know she loved you for it. Give the rest of the Brat pack a hug from me!

I am so sorry for your loss, I know your hearts are breaking. I know that pain.

Patty Twink sounds like she went pretty fast. How so heart breaking. I too, would

like to know what happen. For my own reasons, as we lost a mare last year almost

the same way. Goldie was a month from foaling. She colic one morning. I had the Vet

out. He oil her, and gave some shots. Said she had good gut sounds. She was trying to

eat grass. Seem fine. Put her in her stall under the foaling camera. Watch her through

the day. Went to feed her. She was laying down, but rolled up. Look at me, and nicker

for feed. I told her I would be right there to see her. I turned towards her, and she went

to get up. As she tried, she crashed. She fell over on her side. Her eyes were rolled back.

I ran to call the Vet. He was just minutes from me, on his way to another emergency. He

came here first. We tried to get her up, no way. She could not stand. Her eyes were rolled

back. And then she was gone. My heart just broke. We lost her and her foal. I was so

heart broken. I still miss her so much. I go out and she is not there. Its just so hard to

loose them. Maybe knowing what happen to your girl will help me to understand what

happen to our mare. I am so deeply sorry for your loss. I did say prayers for her.

I followed this little girls story the last few days and prayed but looks ike God wanted her more.

I'm SO sorry for your loss and will go out and hug my SHortcake a lot today.
