:saludando: Hi Everyone!! Well........ My birthday is tomorrow........ and I was NOT expecting this this a.m.!! My bay mare, Mia, was NOT due til' the end of March. I know exactly when she was bred (was towards the middle/end of April-I have it wrote down)... of course I can't find that right now.... but she was only bred (hand bred) 2 days.... But I have started to keep her in a stall at night... did NOT have my t.v. monitor on...... since she was a month off yet and she showed NO signs of foaling...... she wasn't dropped. She did have a bag but nothing......
And HOLLY COW....... this a.m. I go to feed and here's this little BABY in the stall with Mia!!!!! OH WOW!!!! It's my stallion, Barakah's FIRST BABY!!!! And it's a GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She's SO tiny and refined! She has thee littlest straight legs and is jet black! They seem to be doing VERY good! I saw baby nurse several times and found where she'd gone poop already and saw her pee too! So very excited!!! Too early too tell yet if she will grey out (probally).......but it will be a very slow turning grey so I may not see the grey come in a for a while yet. I forgot to bring the tape measure to see how tall she is (I will do that later).. but she is very tiny and refined!!! I may just have to keep this one!! Will see how she matures! I'm VERY excited! I have ONE more left to foal and she's not suppose to be due until the first weekend of May...but will DEFFINATELY keep a close eye on her!!! So excited!!!!!!!! I've got to get to work now! YUCK! But had to share with you guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
