Some of you may remember the old 23 year old gelding "Cash" i got all slicked up this summer to take to a show to surprise my husband? And larry got to see Cash show and i trained him to do obstacle and how the old boy who hadn't shown in 22 years came alive when he went thru the in gate and strutted his stuff!

I had the vet out today and Cash has to go to the rainbow bridge. He has cancer in a place that can't be fixed.

But even today he is running around eating and mock fighting with the other 2 guys.

He is not in pain and he won't be i will see to that.

But it will break Larrys heart Cash is his and every morning he brings them shredded carrots before he leaves for work every morning. The vet said to watch him as it is almost completely covering the urethua and will soon keep him from urinating it will be sometime in the next 2 weeks.

I HATE NOV THIS IS ALSO WHEN I LOST POKEY! Please please send prayers for Larry tonight when I have to tell him he has diabetes and when hes stressed his levels go sky high and stay there.

I have wonderful support but you know guys they have to hold it in......and be macho and all that stupid stuff.

Cash has made us laugh everyday.

The vet was saying i can't believe hes that old look at that shiny coat! When i went home today they were all the way up in the woods on the 6 acres and when i hollered, Cash came heck a hoopin bucking and going flat out as he always does up the ramp into his stall and spun around to his feed bucket just waiting!

Its hard to understand because hes so full of life.

But the vet said you know hes had a really good life, Steve has been my vet for about 28 years.

This is going to be a tough one,BUT I will see he doesn't have a moments pain that is one thing I can control.

I know you will all be there for us and I thank you in advance. I am not sure when it will happen.

But again pray for Larry I am fine and can handle it with all the support i am lucky to have with friends and this family on here.

Bonnie, I am so sorry for you and Larry.

Your reading about Oliver has been such a comfort to me in the years since. I know you know you will see Cash again.

So sorry Bonnie. At least we know he won't have any pain and once your hubby understands it will probably be easier for him to let go also. Hugs, Mary
