Some of you may remember my husband was diagnosed with Kidney Cancer a year ago in April. He had that kidney removed and for the most part things have gone pretty well.
This past Friday he became sick, high fever and sick at his stomach. Went to our ER, gave him antibiotics and sent him home with a fever of over 104. Yes, this hospital is on the very low end of facilities.
He is now at Ball in Muncie.
He is dehydrated, on set of Septic, probably past the on set part at this point, his white blood cell count is 25, blood in urine count is 150 and the bacteria count was so high, they stopped counting and just put, Many!!
He has ran a fever between 104 and 105 for 3 straight days now. This is with fluids, 2 different antibiotics, and a tylenol/motrin rotation. With the help of cold cloths, it did come down some today, but was back up to 103.8 before I left the hospital this evening. They have him on moriphine and something else for the headache that has come with the fever, can't remember the name, it is usually used for migranes and does seem to help.
With him being Septic, it is very hard for them to tell where all of this started, so need to get that under control before they can completely isolate the exact bacteria causing all the problems.
The tests they run for damage to the kidney, those numbres are high, but we do still have time. Just have to get the other things under control so the kidney can function normally and rest so to speak.
We could use some extra prayers, no matter how your form of doing so is.
thanks so much, I think of you often.
