Wanted to share a picture of the beautiful quilt a friend made for me. Don't ever believe that something has to be paid for/bought for it to mean so very very much to a person. This is something no money could buy and will always be a family treasure. Something given has far more value than something bought in many cases. Plus, this has inspired me to try and make some quilts to give as gifts also! this piece is about 52"x 56" so tkes up a wall very nicely...oh yea, Hubby made the quilt holder. Mary

What a beautiful treasure!! That is incredible! How do people manage to make these works of art?

Having no talent myself I am in awe of those that do.

What a wonderful friend to do this for you!

I have a friend Diana Fiorey who does all this type of stuff and then pooh poohs it like it is nothing. She has made more incredible things for me over the years.

The one i treasure the most is a poem she wrote for me after i lost Pokey. I will treasure it always just as you will this.

Thanks for sharing.

Hugs

How absolutely beautiful!!! I would love to make something like that someday. Do you mind me asking how the pictures are put on there? That is so cool.

Tammie, The pictures were printed out from the computer on special material with a glue on backing...think you can get it at computer stores, maybe fabric stores and even Wal Mart. Really makes it special with ones own pictures. Hope you give it a try...I am thinking I will try it someday...right now just practicing cutting out and putting a quilt together. She did machine quilt it rather than hand quilt. She is really good and has won prizes with her quilts! I ooh and awe over all them she has! She also has an embroidery machine and does some in embroidered squares, such as butterflies, leaves, and one with gorgeous roosters on it. Great hobby for a winter day. Mary
