Hello everyone,

I just wanted to do a quick update on my daughter Faith and ask for you to keep her in your thoughts(again).. Her cold, breathing problems, and ear infections(3 or 4) since Dec has gotten better. I can't remember how many ear infections, because my son has had a lot too.. Last week we all got hit with the stomach bug.. :smileypuke: , and it ws not pretty.. Faith started it off Monday and Tues.. Then she was somewhat better by Thrus. Wel she has been complaining about a sore tummy, and still is running to the potty all the time. SHe hasn't gotten dehydrated, (Thank-you God.

: ) Just a sore tummy and a sore bummy..Well the dr. said the flu was going around see if it lets up. We were at the Drs. today as it has not let up.. No fever, crampy tummy and the runs..Well we had to do stool samples.. We won't know until maybe Monday, but the dr feels it might be Rotavirus or from having to many antibotics.. So my poor little angel got over being sick the cold, and now has this.. She is just so run down and I feel so bad. So we are on guard (again), praying we don't get dehydrated. If there are any changes, (The dr. called this evening to check on her) We are to take her to the hosptial and he will admit her. I just hope that when we get the results it isn't serious. I am just a worry wart anymore.. School has really done her in.. I know I have asked for a lot since I've been on the forum, but you guys are super. just please keep Little Faith in your thoughts.. The power of prayer has been proven on this forum.

Hey Jodie ,

Praying for you all to kick these bugs...Dont feel lonely we all have some ickies here to my 5 yr old has a sore throat starting now with a cough , I have a boil in my ear and an abcessed tooth again...Knocking on wood noone else is sick ..Dad is feeling good...And the other kids are feeling good ...I am wearing myself out running around the house like a maniac with the lysol can....luckily noone can catch what I have just what quintin has.....You All take care and god bless...ttys..... :saludando:

Have you put her on some lactobacillun? (cheap at any Walmart) It will help her intestines with the flora needed to get firm again. Poor little lamb, have you considered maybe getting another Drs opinion? I think she could do with an immune check and something to boost hersystem. Do you think she would drink the Ensure for kids? Super stuff. My prayers are with her.

has she been tested for allergies?

When my katy was a baby she was constantly sick. ear infections non stop, (had ear tubes put in twice)colds, pnemonia etc. It was so bad they tested her for cystic fibrosis 2 TIMES. During this time my dad insisted she was allergic to dairy. I ignored him because surely these fancy drs would think of that? well my dad finally convinced me to take her to an allergist. she was allergic to dairy and corn products. She was on baby forumla that was full of corn syrup etc. Once we got her a soy formula with no dairy and corn the results were amazing. all the runny noses stopped, ear infections, coughing etc. It was the hardest 6 months of my life seeing her sick all the time and then knowing my dad was right and i should have listened sooner

as she got older she outgrew the allergies and today is a beautiful healthy 22 yr old

just a thought?

my youngest also went through what kaykay's daughter did...

also my husband is always telling us when we have been on antibiotics that they kill not only the bad bacteria but the good as well, what we need in our stomach to digest food properly. there is something you can get at the health food store to replace the good bacteria but i can't remember what it is called. i tried calling him to ask but he must be busy at work and didn't answer his phone... when i hear back i will edit this post.

edited: OK it's acidopholus (sp?), any health food store should have it and know what you want.

I'm sorry to hear that you all have been so sick lately. That stomache bug is no fun at all.

Hopefully you will all be back to yourselves soon. I'll keep your daughter and your family in my prayers and thoughts.

How is little Faith doing today? Hoping she is feeling better.

My friend has a child who was having great problems with her immune system, nothing but ear infections, colds stomach problems continuosly until they found a supplement called DMG. Completely changed the little girl's life and she's been healthy and free of the frequent infections for nearly a year now. Not too expensive and can be found easily at places that sell supplements.

Hello everyone,

Sorry I haven't gave an update on Faith-- I have had this stupid migraine going on three days now..

: The dr office called today, 3 of the tests came back neg. ANd the rotavirus was one of them.. There are still a couple we won't know about until Monday.. She still has a belly ache all the time, but her "run" problem has gotten better. SHe is still going a lot, not as loose. Now she is getting to the point she doesn't want to eat because that is what makes her tummy hurt-- food. As soon as we ca she is going to be allergy tested. And thanks for the supplement suggestions, I am willing to try anything to help her..But, coming into this fall we knew it might have been bad, with it being her first year at school. Being exposed to all of the germs..I just never knew it was going to be this bad..Thanks for thinking of my little Faith, and all the suggestions. We are going to try them, and I will post more when I hear from her Dr on Monday..

Jodie
