Vacation in Denver, CO for a week

One of my dream vacations is coming true the end of October!!!

We are staying in Denver all week and plan to head out to Vail one day and go to Boulder another.

Are there any places that are must-sees in the Denver area?

Any GOOD English tack stores???

I am soooo looking forward to this!!!

Not looking forward to leaving all the 'kids' but I've been wanting to go to Denver for about 10 years now!

Estes park that is my suggestion

Rocky Mountain national park is there and check out the stanley hotel many films and ghost hunters filmed there

10 years of living there running a resort

I'll second the vote for Estes Park. [be sure to watch for the elk right in town.]

The Denver Zoo is decent.

oh and if you golf in estes park its an extra par 2 if you hit an elk

if your going up now look out for t he rut

Parker - a town southeast of denver is the english riding part of the area. The colorado Horse Park is tops in this and in Combined Driving events.

Garden of the Gods, about an hour south of Denver. Great restaurant in town is Le Fondue. Have fun!

Go to the Coors distillery in Golden. The tour and beer tasting is well worth it. Take the bus from the parking lot to the front door. If you sample watch for the Police officers that sit in the parking lot.

It was a great and interesting tour and we both would like to go again.
