we just got a vet assessment regarding our two smallest recent rescues. There was some concern over wether these horses were in bad shape or not. I think this shows clearly that these guys were in need of help. I keep saying over and over you cannot let a winter coat mislead you. It is very hard to take a picture of a rescue and have it show the real condition of the horse when they have a winter coat. Another good example is the pictures i posted of mary. My vet estimated her weight at 450-500. When weighed at OSU she weighed only 350 lbs. Being this underweight (along with other problems) heading into winter is just not a good thing. Im so glad we got them and they are on the road to recovery. Thanks everyone
