I always wanted to do a painting of this cat. She is my AWESOME vet's cat. Something for helping me out when I am just about at my most freaked out, (when one of the animals are sick!)

Sarah is 18 years old and has a crabby little face! I felt funny sneaking around and trying to get a photo of her without telling them exactly what I was doing. She is a little tiny elderly kitty and she doesn't wake much now for anything. But when I finished it, the stress of giving the painting is a bit much to me. You never know when you are going to get one of these...." Ummm, Yea kinda looks like her, nice try". But when I gave it,,, the vets wife started to cry. And she said,,, this is Sarah. That made me very happy!!!!

NO WONDER she cried!!! I don't even know the little one, but you captured HER! I can feel it!

What a beautiful beautiful portrait.........What a gift of love! Do you do that for every one???

(I'm asking because you should have a line up of people for animal portraits..........but doing them like THAT would wear you out emotionally!)

Please be careful with yourself.

:new_shocked: :new_shocked: :new_shocked: :aktion033: oh to have such talent. You have such a talent!!!! WOW. Absolutely beautiful!

OMG Kim! That made me cry too! (I feel it too miniv) She's beautiful! I'm a cat lover and I know what it would mean to have such a gift of a kitty I loved, so I can imagine how your vet and his wife must feel! You are very talented and SO generous and thoughtful!

I'm lucky enough to have your painting of Nort (Lotto) above our TV.

What an awesome talent you have and such a great heart to do this for someone you have captured the cat perfect i'm sure.KEEP IT UP

Oh my gosh!!!

You truly have an amazing gift and talent!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't even imagine how touched your vet was by your gift. It is something she (he?) will always treasure.

Kim, I will never understand how you can be "unsure" of how your masterpieces will be recieved. You have an innate ability to capture the essence of each subject then make them come alive on canvas. Sarah is wonderful.

Are you kidding me?????????? This is an awesome thing you did. What a nice job. It is beautiful

Whow, that is beautiful. You can see the fluffyness...I just want to pet that little kitty!! What a lovely gift...Im sure she was thrilled to get such a gift !!

I feel very priviledged to have seen this portrait in person yesterday

when we visited the Crabby Chicken Ranch.

In person this painiting is alive with the essenceo of Sarah.

Not being artisitic I do not know how Kim captures the spirit, puts it on canvas

and makes you feel it is so tangible.....

Amazing gift!!!

That is amazing, Kim!!! It has a great feeling to it, and I know they love it. I love my Gramma Pony pic, too...so much!

Thank you for sharing this.

Thank you guys all so much!!!!!

I guess I am scared I am not getting the feel of the real animal. I am not sure how to explain it. It is almost like someone lets me in to a personal area in their life,,, and can I show them how I feel the animal was or is????Hard to explain.

I ALWAYS get a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach when someone is going to get their painting!!! I don't usually have someone open it in front of me, I get a little freaked out. I could NEVER be on one of those reality shows when they pick you apart!!! Yikes!

Thanks again. Without you guys and some people that thought I could do this I would NEVER put myself out there doing these!

Oh my gosh! YOU are VERY TALENTED! Yes, you captured the essence very well. I look at the picture and can feel the "life" in it! :aktion033:

Please keep doing them! Many wish they had a fraction of the talent that you have!
