My usual seller said to give it a try and if it did not work she'd supply me with a weefoal20 at no charge, but how do I know if it worked or not. The first test done at day 40 is obviously pregnant, but at day 100 is doubtful. Has anyone used the test this late along, and did they have a dark second line? I'm a little confused, as it appears the mare is no longer pregnant, but I dont trust the result.

each test measure a specific hormone , one hormone peeks in early pregnancy and a different hormone peeks in later pregnancy , I doubt very much if the second test is reliable and would re do it with the proper one

I have had very bad luck with Wee Foal 38 tests this year. We ran one on a mare at day 40 and it came up a clear negative. Had her ultrasounded a month or so later with NO access to a stallion in between and she came up clearly pregnant. Ran two tests on the same sample of urine a couple of weeks ago (because I had an extra test) and one came up positive and the other negative. They were run about 20 minutes apart. In the past I have had very good luck with the WeeFoal 120 though, that measures something in the fetus itself.

Looks like I'll be waiting for 80 days or so and then when the foal does or doesn't kick I'll know(I've never gone wrong with that method). I just like to know as soon as possible.
