My 2007 plans for my horses and farm are I have mares that are due to foal .I have 2 confirmed in foal to my belly splash overo stallion .I have one confirmed in foal to a black and white lepoard appy..And i have two more that are possiably bred to my overo stallion.. My plans are I will foal out my mares and then show the mares and foals and hopefully sometime this summer I will be able to build on to my barn like i have wanted too for the last year.. And hopefully I will be able to sell a couple ..

What is everyone's plans for 07...

similar plans here, thankfully already one healthy live foal (although she appeared earlier than we had anticipated!), so hoping for the other two to foal safely in March and April, and updating fencing is our big plan for this year!! also would like to finish the remodel of the horse trailer we are building our own living quarters into...

FENCING & FENCING and when we're done with that--more fencing! We started it last fall, it just never got completely done. Then I want to have the inside of the barn whitewashed again, it really does need it.

I am not big enough to call myself a farm, but I am going to add to my two. So I hope 2007, we will be three...

: I thought I did good and held back long enough, now I want to add one more.. Mini's are very addictive.. But, I know I need to take my time and learn as much as I can.. I would love to have my mare bred to have a foal. The little one would never leave. But, I'm to affraid to try to breeding thing as of right now. Maybe that will be 2008's project..... :bgrin

Well........Santa was good to me this year, and bought me another leopard appy! My plan is to send him for cart training in spring, and get him going good in 2007. We'd also like to get two of our other driving horses going as a team.

Also on that list is to add on some pasture, and the major plan we'd like to get done is a new barn. That's a biggie though, and on the bottom of the list. One of those things that you'd like to do............but usually don't have money or time to do!

Puting gutters on our barn! And then connecting the piping so the water will flow into water troughs......

To have healthy and live foals. Fencing and doing some projects this year in the house, painting and putting in pergo floors.Having one stallion shown and hopefully he does well.

To get our first foal, due the first week of June, safely on the ground!!!

To finish up the inside of our new barn addition...finish up the stalls, hopefully add

a "real" tack room.

Add an arena of some sort. Redo some of the fencing.

Would like for me and our 6 year old son to start driving. Would like to train somebody to

jump.

Probably too much for one year...but...hey, sounds like a plan, anyway.

Hmmm....let's see:

1) foal out my mare that WAS DUE on New Year's Eve. I had an entire week off from work and she just couldn't foal while I was at home. I probably have a foal on the ground as I type this at WORK!

2) Build a new barn and fencing in a yet to be undisclosed location - official word coming soon!

3) Successfully show my client horses and my horses to their ultimate best

4) Get the June foal on the ground.

5) Sell the yearling and this year's foals

6) TO NOT BUY ANY MORE HORSES THIS YEAR! I bought 4 horses in the last year, I think I'm good for awhile.

I am finally getting my hay barn. can't wait. after the hay barn is up, I will have more stalls put in my present barn where the hay is now. should have enough for all the show horses. I am waiting for my stallion BHM the Shaman to have his first two foals in April. one is mine and the other belongs to my niece, Ashley. Hopefully lots of color. I will be showing my weanling. Lots more pastures to go up and hopefully in the fall, my garage will be turned into a foaling barn.

Oh, last and not least, a chicken coop to get all the chickens out of the barn so they stop pooping on everything.
