Since I am trying to cut back on horses yet none are selling I am probably going to geld my stallion this spring. At least then he can run with the herd.

So what are prices in your area running?

I had one done here in southwest WY in Sept for $105 total.

Just had 4 done here on the farm. I don't know what the farm call will be, but the rest is usually about $80 to $100 per horse--depending on age and agravation. Can let you know more in a week or so when the bill gets here.

Our main vet we have used for 30 years charges $150. Our secondary vet we use charges $35. Big difference.

And this is if we take the horse to the clinic at both vets.

I am in Southern Maine. The last horse I had gelded was in 2007 and it was $350 plus the farm call($65 at the time). Farm calls have since gone up to $70 and I am calling next week to make an appointment to get a yearling gelded, so I'll find out if the gelding cost has gone up any. It was $350 back in 2005 when we had another one done too.

$75 to $100 here in SW Oklahoma, and we go TO the vet.

I was told it is over $300.00 here in Shasta County. I am hoping to have ShotGun done by April or he may have to wait until after summer when we get our tax return!

Around $200 - $225 including the farm call, or $125 - $150 if i take him into the clinic, that is here in northwestern ohio. I'm have one possibly two gelded sometime early next month, its been some time since i gelded something here so the prices may have possibly changed (im sure they have gone up).

I'm in Maine, a bit farther South then normajeanbaker. I actually use a NH vet, and if you go to the vet it's a minimum of $300. Farm calls add to that. My colt is getting gelded in a week or so and I am bringing him to a friend's place and using a vet that I believe is out of Concord, NH and it will run me just under$200.

I haven't had a mini gelded and the last full-size horse was about 5 years ago, he was $120 all included here at the ranch (the year before another geld was $100 all included). I don't know if there is a difference between full-size and minis for price.

I paid $112 total with the farm call and everything for Rebel's gelding in November.
