Hi Kay Kay

Have been watching you since 10:35 then the Internet dropped here at work and I can't get on your cam again.

At 10:35 EDT I saw 2 ladies and a wiggling rope

: in the stall (no horse -- Flirt was apparently downstage right).

A bit later Flirt appears and a 3rd human.

Is she foaling?

Hope things are going well.

I got the cam up, she's just standing there....eating hay looks like.

There I was soundly asleep having a most bizarre dream :risa8: . My sister was going "in" to pull a uhmmm, goat(?) :new_shocked: who she was sure wasn't even pregnant! The phone rang and woke me up (for real) so I grabbed a robe and dashed to the computer, sure that Flirt had foaled. There she was, calmly eating hay with that big ole belly hanging down.

So, Kay...first of all, are you SURE she is pregnant? and secondly, are you sure she isn't a goat??

Now I am going to kill my daughter for waking me up as I will never know if the goat was! :ugh: :new_rofl:

Im sorry guys! That was fran and arlene who came over to have a look at the discharge flirt is having. Arlene was sweet enough to spend some time desensitizing flirt to having her udder touched. And no she was not happy at all! We are trying to get her used to having her udder touched so that if the foal has trouble we can help it to nurse. Sorry for the false alarm! Also one of the kids unplugged the cam again and Im trying to get it back up live. Because of the discharge I am keeping flirt in today. *also have a rain storm moving in

Thanks for the explanation -- no cam for me now (12:35 noonish EDT) -- will check again later today.

Come On Flirt!! Lets get this over with.

I have been watching Flirt too Kay (just because I finally can!) and I'll be really happy when she gives that filly up for you!

By the way what are you guys doing up there to get all this rain!? WE need some down here in FL please!?!?? Could you send it our way?? We have two pastures to plant!!

cam should be working now! im going to have to keep the kids off the puter. Im so worried about it raining again as we have been flooding like crazy here. It was just now getting dry and now they are calling for 1 inch today. sure wish i could send it down to ya!! No one i have talked to have ever seen this snotty discharge thing before but I guess its okay?

Kay i have had mares look like that when they lose there mucus plug although not sure exactly what you are describing other then some lose it all in what seems one fell swoop and others seem to lose it for a couple of days in a icky discharge that can be on again off again

it must be her mucus plug. I just didnt know they would keep losing it over several days. its thick like snot and tinged with blood. Very very sticky. Everyone i know has heard of it but never seen it. So funny a few minutes ago you could see the foal sticking out her side. I think she wants to come out and play :bgrin

Tell Arlene and Fran Im still waiting here for 4 foals. Our madien mare Sue is at 328 days today and everyone else has all the signs of foaling. Pie still no bag but found out she does not get one till just ready to foal. Fran has her daughter. Keep me posted and will see who foals first in Ohio or Michigan. Wishing you a beautiful filly Kay.

.... That sounds like the mucus plug, if it's at all like what a human's is like!! It's a mess, and some women (I'm sure mares too!) do loose it over time... or in pieces... BUT that may mean she'll foal soon!!!

GOOD LUCK!

Maybe she is getting ready to finally show us that foal!

I hope so because I had put my guess in for tonight 10:50 a colt.
