What is this Vetrolin Grooming Award at AMHR Nationals? I was reading the shetlandminiature site and saw it, but couldn't find any details. Do they have a specific class that they run for this award?

The award is given by choosing the best groomed horse of the show and the horse is chosen by representives of the company. They just go thru the barns and watch the show and make their decision of who has the best groomed horse that outshines from the others.

We were awarded in 2007 the very first "Best Groomed Pony at the Platform Shetland Congress" for our ASPC Classc shetland pony named "Buckeye WCF Classical Story" a few years ago. Farnam was giving away to the winner their whole line of grooming products plus many vouchers for the "Platform" feed and we were taken out to dinner by their representive while we were at the AMHR Nationals since there were not a hugh selection of nice places to go out to eat while at showing in Gordyville.

The Journal had our picture listed with a write up and Johnny Robb had a press release that went out to various equine magazines and newsletters for recognition that drew alot of attention to our farm. That was the year that RFD-TV was at the Shetland Congress and the AMHR Nationals.

The Farnam Territory Manager that was there at Platform Shetland Congress was John Sheary and Renee Mariniello that was the Farnam regional field representive for Platform Feed.

In the press release letter from Johnny Robb that is the Director of Marketing was dated September 10, 2007 that is listed on our website under "2007 Congress 2" was stated that:

"Classical Story was so beautifully turned out from the tip of his ears to his hooves" said Mariniello, who selected the pony from a dozen runners-up that she identified during the Platform Shetland Pony Congress.

Perhaps they choose the award winner differently than of the way they did of the 2007. I know we were excited about receiving the award with it being our first time attending Shetland Pony Congress and receiving the press release from Johhny.
