The hustle and bustle is here at my house and I'm not sure I'm going to be able to keep up. True to form, I take on more than I can chew, so I'm counting on my adrenaline to kick in hard and fast.

The plan is to have everything I need for Christmas to be done and finished before Thanksgiving. I say that every year and it never happens. We'll see.

First, if I don't get some lights up outside I'm going to tear my hair out. :arg! I need to get the love child up that ladder to do the power pole but I never see him since he's taken over the business he is working 7 days a week. If I have to go up that ladder myself you can kiss me good bye.

I only have the fence lights and the porch lights done and I need to do a ton more before the weather decides to wreck. I don't know why I got so behind on the lights this year.

I really need to clean my house! I mean really clean it. You should see the mess in here my gosh its a disaster at the moment and my windows are horrible. All I have to do to get in gear for that one is watch one episode of Horders, and I will jump out of my chair and go full speed. Something about that show makes me want to do an OCD cleaning.

I want to bake up a storm. I'll put the Christmas music on and get in the kitchen one way or the other. I'm going to start with a pinapple upside down cake, brownies, and oatmeal raisen cookies and banana breads and go from there. If worse comes to worse, I'll just call out my old friend Sara Lee to help me out.

I've been making Christmas cards for people and I'd like to get a bunch done in the next 48 hours somehow if I don't run out of ink again.

Sunday, the turkeys go on sale at Walmart so I'll be there looking for a twenty pounder.

I have a Christmas promotion for CMHR I would like out by Thanksgiving Eve. Lots of cuties for adoption are ready to go home for Christmas and we have to make that happen.

Somewhere in here I'd like to get my barn decorated.

Ok so I am willing to be that by Monday am, I only have half of what is on my list done.

Hoping to go shopping and get some supplies for a big project I've been asked to do!
default_wub.png

And go shopping for Secret Santa gifts. I ordered something on the 1st but the person isn't answering my emails. *sigh*

And gotta get a turkey and all the goodies to make our dinner. Hubby loves my cooking!

Going to hang out and play with my dog. Spend time with the horses if the weather is good. If I have to stay indoors, I have plenty of things I need to get done (crafts)

Hopefully buying a new (to us) horse trailer...We found one that suits our purposes 4 hours away from us, so that will take care of most of the day on Saturday. Sunday, we do our shopping and have to finish "Secret Santa" shopping as well. And, the rest is a secret...lol

I'll get things ready tomorrow to put my tree up on Saturday and set my village up too. Not to many lights outside but a few for sure. Some outside deer, a Christmas tree off our flag pole, and some lighted garland.

Busy, busy!!!

Still finishing up my cold, and having my 2 year old granddaughter staying over night Saturday, so that is all I need to do this weekend.

Olivia always makes me feel better.

Making chicken & dressing for Sunday dinner with the family.

Need to get the "dog house" ready for guest dogs that start arriving next week.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Well, on Saturday my boys (minis) are going to be in our first Santa Claus parade! My Dad is going to drive the team while I walk along side (in case they decide to go on the naughty list, as well as for pooper scooper duties) for the 4km+ parade route....so on Sunday I'm hoping to have a lazy day!

We, now, live in a small town, very rural of about 3500 people.

We love it but coming from a large metropolitan area we're still

adjusting to the pace, here.

The community center seems to be the fairgrounds where things

go on all year long. If you miss a doing at the fairgrounds

there isn't much else going on, locally.

This week end is the BIG yearly Holiday Craft Show. It'll go on

for 2 days. It's fun, lots of wonderful things from creative

people. It smells good from the baked goods, is very festive

with the strains of Christmas music. I LOVE Christmas music.

Three friends are coming down from Seattle to go with me, this

year.

There are similar things that go on in the greater Seattle area.

They are big venues and often quite commercial.

This is small and intimate and everyone is friendly. It is just

perfect.

I am looking forward to the company of friends and doing something

holiday-ish with them.

Thanksgiving and all it's meanings is probably my favorite holiday.

My decorations have been up since I took down the Halloween decorations.

I try not to rush the year along, to fast, but I can hardly wait for many

weeks of Christmas decorations and the sound of Christmas music.

Good luck at the show gimp!!!!

I am going to be busy, busy this weekend!!!!

I am taking a neighbour shopping tomorrow, then have a birthday dinner to go to tomorrow night.

Saturday will be off to a Santa Claus parade that my brother will be piping in (he plays the bag pipes with a local pipe band), then hopefully getting Christmas lights up.

Sunday will be more of getting lights up, and getting work done....I have sooo much to do!!!

I also have to set up the whelping box and area....oops..... yep...my *secret* is out now!!!!

But seeing as you can definitely tell by looking at her, I *think* I'm safe to say Lainey is expecting!!! (Check out my website to see the expectant parents)

Then I have to start getting ready for a dog show NEXT weekend in MA!!!!

soooo much to do.......

We are planning on having a snow storm. IDK, every time we are told we are going to have a BAD storm we don't get anything. Then when they say at most we will have a dusting but don't plan on any, we get 7 feet.

Today I moved all the living room furniture including the piano and swept and washed the floor. Then got my living room windows cleaned and washed and hung up my winter drapes. That darn Downy Wrinkle Relase is not working! Now I have to take them down and iron them... :arg!

Cleaned the heck out of my kitchen. Why doesn't it look it?
default_doh.gif

I finished up some orders for Christmas cards, packed and ready to send in the am YAY! Two more orders to go, then I get to do mine. Big YAY
default_aktion033.gif

I got some lights up in our front entraceway, but I'm not satisfied with it. I'll probably loose sleep over it. I got the candles up and secured at the front stairs but that's all. I really can't do much until the guys get the heck up the dad blasted power pole because that's when I add the lights after that.
default_frusty.gif

Maybe I'll get the barn decorations up tomorrow.

I feel like I"m just not getting enough stuff done! Rats!

Today My mom, sister, and I took Colton to a huge clothing swap. You take your outgrown clothes and unwanted toys, and exchange them for used clothes in the sizes you need. I ended up with 3 or garbage bags full of stuff, and a walker for him, and got some of the boxes of tiny clothes gone. Now I Have 6 loads of laundry to do. Tomorrow someone from craigslist is supposed to be coming to purchase something from me, and in the late afternoon were going to buy something from someone on craigslist. If I ever get around to it I would like to clean the house and get laundry put away, I would like to put our tree up the day before thanksgiving since my hubby works on black friday.

Here's a photo of my boys taken on Saturday while we were waiting for their first ever parade to start! They made it onto Santa's list of good boys and girls!!
default_yes.gif

We were pleased with how they behaved so one parade down and three more to go!

Thanks, we kinda like them!

We got the cutter at an amish auction and then added the wheels, which cost more than the cutter!! We're thinking maybe a bigger one would look better, but this will do for this year!

Oh boy! I have had two extra days off since the snow and ice came! So have been a major slug around here. But my daughter has come home for a couple days and that has been fun! We were scared that the power would go out and she wouldn't be able to get to use and our fireplace!

Starting to make pies today and will try and clean up. It will only be use this year, so I don't have to freak out over cleaning. I have a painting I should be working on, but I am playing on the computer instead!!!

My daughter wants a female lab, or lab mix that I am searching all over for. Her birthday is in a week.

Everyone, have a fantastic Thanksgiving!
