This weekend is looking great. On Friday after work I will be making taco salad and a lot of junk food for me and the Hus as we watch our Sci-Fi movies. On Saturday, I am taking off of work early so I can come home and prepare for some very special vistors who will be arriving on Sunday. I have to clean the house and just make sure its tidy, wash horses and dogs and prepare foods for our Mother's Day picnic in the yard. Dan will be doing the cooking.......I forgot to notify him, oppsie, while a clipping fest will be going on in the barn. This is my idea of fun surrounded by my family and good people.

So whatchadointhisweekend?

I love you Michael and Daniel and I am proud to be your Mother.

Happy Mothers Day to Mom in heaven. You were the best Mother in the world.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO ALL!

Hopefully we can finish the barn addition. Seems like whenever we have a day off it rains. We only need to hang 6 more sheets of steel ,then the inside work begins. My husband asked me out for a date tonight

,we haven't decided what we're gonna do.Have a great weekend everyone!!!!!

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there!!!

I'll be heading to the Orange Blossom show tomorrow at Abby Conder's farm. What a beautiful place to spend the day - even though it will be hot. Will be lots of nice horses, good friends and good food.

Happy Mother's day to my mom who I lost almost 42 years ago - still miss you mom - you were the best for the short time we had together.

Today my friend from PA is coming to trim our ponies feet and then im not sure what. Thunderstorms are rolling in, but I want to get the barn cleaned and horse trailer cleaned too.

Tomorrow morning we're heading up to the Taylor Pony Farm for their annual sale, cannot wait! So exciting...I love attending their sale and get together.

Working the weekend, but thats okay

Wow that sounds awesome Marty! I have two big raised beds that my son has been filling with the compost/dirt so that I can start planting this weekend. I want a simple arbor joining them so I can plant a climbing plant, or scarlet runners on. My daughter wants to out to lunch at the new mexican food restaurant in town. Husband will be handing kids money so I can buy plants "from them". It might even NOT rain for Sunday. I am stoked!!!!

And to my Mom. I miss you everyday, I still think of picking up the phone to call you like I did, three or four times a day for years. I think of you always. Thank you for being you. It was just us for so many years, I don't think I will ever be the same since you had to go. You were the best influence on my kids growing up. They would not be the great people they are if you had not help teach them. I wish I had had more to give you when you were here that is a regret I have. I would have given you anything you wanted. I LOVE You.

First let me say to all the Mom's Happy Mother's Day. Missing my own like I have for 30yrs. Hoping everyone has a great weekend.

Well tomorrow is the day. Nice weather expected here. My daughter has the day off. I plan on moving Koda in with the mares so they can eat him. Just kidding! He will spend a portion of the day with his Dam and Aunt though. I'm pretty sure they will set him straight right away then all will be great. Then we are going to hitch up Jimmy in my new presidential harness and with my daughters support I am going for a drive. This will be his first time out on the road. I really don't expect there will be an issue but you just never really know till you get out there and do it.

As usual we will get pictures to post of him hitched and driving. He really is a quiet driving horse so I know I will enjoy myself. He gives me confidence more than the other horses I own.

To everyone have a wonderful weekend.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO YOU !

Real Mothers know that

child's growth is not measured by

height, years or grade…

It is marked by the progression

of Mommy to Mom to Mother…

The Images of Mother

4 years of age – "My Mommy can do anything!"

8 years of age – "My Mom knows a lot… a whole lot!"

12 years of age – "My Mother doesn't know everything!"

14 years of age – "My Mother? She wouldn't have a clue!"

16 years of age – "Mother? She's so 5 minutes ago."

18 years of age – "That old woman? She's way out of date."

25 years of age – "Well, she might know a little bit about it!"

35 years of age - "Before we decide, let's get Mom's opinion."

45 years of age – "Wonder what Mom would think about it?"

65 years of age – ""Wish I could talk it over with Mom."

The beauty of a woman is

not in the clothes she wears,

the figure she carries,

or the way she combs her hair.

The beauty of a woman

must be seen from her eyes…

Because that is the doorway to her heart,

the place where love resides.

The beauty of a woman is

not in a facial mole,

But the true beauty in a woman

is reflected in her soul.

It is the caring that she lovingly gives,

the passion that she shows,

And the beauty of a woman

with passing years only grows!

Hug a Mother today!!!!!!

Praying for sunshine; we've had snow or rain for the last week or so, and everything is a sloppy muddy mess. The horses are looking for Noah's Ark to float by and save them.

Tomorrow, if its not snowing, my MIL and I are going to town to get in a little shopping. That's all that's planned for the weekend, next week, I'll run to town and take my mom out to lunch for her birthday and Mother's day.

Happy Mother's Day to Marty and to all! I am going to a mother's day tea on Sat, and I have no idea what else the weekend will hold. Have a great one!

I want to get through one day this weekend where I'm not angry and sad.....not looking like it will happen.....

it's been a long few weeks....and I am dreading the 'news' I will hear tomorrow...no matter which way it ends up going....

I will post more about it when I am more able to....when I'm a little less angry about it all....I was getting there and then another crisis happened.....I keep hoping I will wake up and it will all go back to 'normal'.

To all the Mother's on here, I hope you have a very Happy Mother's Day.

I'm heading off to my sister's house with the three dogs. One has a show in the fairgrounds there.

I miss my mom, even after 28 years, so it will be nice to see my sister. Y'all have a good Mom's day.

Hang in there, girl. Hugs to all the four leggeds.

Our very own "from scratch" child is off on a school trip to the Coast until Saturday evening! (She's been calling almost hourly(!) since leaving yesterday. LOL) I've been informed that she's bought me the perfect Mother's Day present.

This afternoon our very FIRST Foster Child - Andy, dropped by to say "Hi" and HUGS. (First out of 19!) Larry made me feel very old by telling me that Andy is now in his early 40's! Granted we were in our 20's when he came to us in high school.

Tonight another grown Foster Child joins us with her husband and children and is staying for the weekend. The DEAL is, the husbands either take us to dinner or cook all weekend!

This is the first week end in a while that I have not been sick. I hope the weather is nice so I can get some hooves trimmed. I'll be watching mares and playing with the babies. Playing with the dog!
