Sheryl and I were supposed to road trip to look at some horses but she thinks her bred mare is about to blow. She's bagged up, loose tail etc. so she's sticking around real close and sleeping in the barn. Postponed road trip for now.

So I get to go guess where?

Walmart! Joy.

Going to buy sheets for Dan's bed and do some grocery shopping.

Sunday Jerry is going to build my tack room and complete the foaling stall so I can get Angel moved under the camera and DECORATE IT FOR BABY!!!!!!!!!. I have the cutest little baby wall hangings.......

I know I know I've been saying that for a month but seems like every weekend we've had snow and ice. Hopefully we can get her done! Please don't rain, snow, ice or freeze.

Saturday I'm going to give Fred, my little stallion, a bath. It is supposed to be 60 out and he is filthy...so I will have plenty of warm water and shampoo. I may give Paint, my last mare, a bath too. I will see if I can get two of them done. And then I'm planning on blowdrying them in the barn and just enjoying them while they are still with me.

Saturday night I have offered to keep our new granddaughter for the night so her parents can have a night out.

Sunday it is supposed to get cold again so I guess I will do laundry and clean that day. I wish I had a harness for Harley...but we can still practice commands if it stays dry. He has been so full of energy lately. He is sold...but his new owners seem to have abandoned him here...say they are putting up fence...since Christmas...they must be fencing the whole county! Oh well, I love him and I'm enjoying him being here!

Asides attempting to convince my week old filly that she Likes people? That people are friendly and are the providers of excellent scratching in places she cannot reach?

: Sleeping. Alot. Of. Sleeping!

I am taking 5 courses this semester, two of which are "honors' classes. (Which I didn't know they had in college, but found out and though it would be a good idea..

: ) And so had a Calculus test, and a Spanish II test, And a 10,000 word paper for my American Lit class (Hon). The paper was mostly done, but needed a good deal of tweaking, but the other two were just cram fests.

Then I ran up to Ocala right after class on thursday night, to drop off Stormy and Blossom at my trainers, and got up at six to come home, and somehow ended up coming Home with a new horse.

Flew home, and bounced out of my truck by 12:30, unloaded, and started teaching. Didn't stop till 5:00, then started feeding...

: I don't think that bouncing around the state and my ring were good things for it... So Off to bed I am!

We are supposed to have beeeyouteeefull weather this weekend. So I'm going to groom, ground drive the pony mares, possibly hitch Ripple, and start getting Big Mare in shape to sell. :no: I hate that part. Oh heck, I just remembered that Mary Ann, our farrier, is coming tomorrow morning. So I'll also just be hanging out, holding ponies and gabbing. Lulu Bird needs her toenails and wings trimmed and the weekly cage remodeling. Got to get to the feed store.

If I can get somewhat caught up on critter chores, then I really need to prune the blackberry bushes and some trees. Jeesh, only 3 months late.

: Closing Cerimonies in Turino Sunday night; thank goodness, I need to get my butt up and away from the TV. It's been fun, but the Olympics is heck on the body. Need to sneak some domestic-type chores in there somewhere.

Going with Mom to see the new Tyler Perry movie! My mom and i are addicted to those movies like none other, we rent the plays every weekend almost lol. Then im going to wal-mart to get my Binder for my horse judging notes for FFA. Coming home and working on my FFA binder.

Taking all the horses for a little walk and finishing my lessons with Lexus.

SUNDAY:

Touring a John Deer thing with dad, oh the fun

:. Then im going to go see my little nephew tanner who i miss so much since he moved

:. Im tempted to take Coco so he can play around with him a couple hours, Co' misses his 'little buddy'

Other stuff ..lol i have no idea what else im doing.

Gotta work all day Saturday. Sunday I am planning to work on the barn and ground drive Little Man. The babies will of course have to have attention too! I am sure all of them will be "helping" with the barn.

Oh yeah, gotta see if I can get that stupid cat to come close enough to the barn to eat (barn cat). He has his own stall but Maggie terrifies him so bad he is afraid to come in the barn.

Planning to gut my master bath. The countertop, sink, light fixture, toilet and flooring are all getting replaced!!! Putting tile on the floors (way excited about that! I hate carpet in bathrooms!). I also have to paint the walls. SO tonight I'm coming up with a game plan. Not quite sure which thing I want to tackle first. VERY excited to take my bathroom from 1970 to 2006!!!! OMG. I never realized my house was 36 years old before!!!!! Definitely time to do some updating!!

Sorting sheep, tagging some, worming them, vaccinating them and trimming their feet! (sheesh!) Also making sure our new Equipage system will work, although Nana isn't quite ready to watch that closely yet.

Well, tommorow I am waking up bright and early, fixing my hair, chosing what to wear and getting flowers and scissors together because we get to have a fun and jolly time at the.............

KATY RODEO PARADE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Breanne(minihorses4ever) and ELiza(cowgirlup*) are going too. Sunday, who knows probaly babysit, watch TV and go to thrift stores to get me and Kid's costume togteher for the shows.

Going to pick up some feed and meet up w/the Crabby Chicken crew tomorrow in Clatskanie (say Klat-skuh-n-eye...*LOL*) as they pick up their harness and cart (yay, more drivers!!!!), and then home to visit with my best friend from high school and her hubby, they are coming down with their two daughters. I have not seen them for a while. Chris and I were inseparable through high school and our first years working we both worked at Nationwide in Portland. She has two girls the same age as my two younger boys, so it will be fun to show them the horses. I'm excited about getting to hang out w/them. Maybe we'll go to the Ship Inn for fish and chips or somethin'. Yummm and we can watch the boats and ships on the river while we eat.

Perhaps Saturday night after they leave, I might go out, but I'm still debating on that one. After the last couple weeks, I NEED to cut loose, but I am having reservations. *LOL* I may just stay in and cut loose. Whatever that means! I don't know if I know how to do that!

Sunday I might sleep in if I can, and try to get some work done around the house when I get up. Outside is almost as bad as inside, but we need decent weather for that and I think that's all due to go away.

Always good, try to be safe, and I almost always enjoy and as for legal, I will plead the 5th.

Today I played with my prego mares, brushed them and trimmed bridle paths and faces. Then I picked up my niece for the weekend and we're going to play with the young-uns tomorrow. She's going to help me show this year....and do the in-hand jumping for me. :bgrin

Sunday: Wake up, go for a run, come home, have brekky, go and fetch Secret, put him in his stable for the morning, wash him at lunch time, groom and exercise him (maybe swimming down at the creek) come home, put Secret in paddock, have dinner, do home work, go to bed!

Pretty quiet weekend here.

We are going to clean the paddocks -- which is not so easy a lot of times in the winter. Poop gets frozen and can't get it up! But I think it should be warm enough to get it up today. So, just horse chores probably today.

Tomorrow is H's birthday and will probably go to Outback.

I also need to do some studying.

Other than that, not a lot going on here.

It's bright, sunny and VERY cold out there (we are Celsius so I have no idea what it is in American, but it was snowing earlier and we are set to have some more :cold: )

Tomorrow I shall do more feet and keep going til they are all done.

We have just been informed that we are officially in a drought!!

Since it has not rained properly since before Christmas and what rain we have had has been miserable and cold and very wet, I think we may already have noticed!!

Back last summer when we who were involved with Nature were calling for a hosepipe ban the powers that be were crying, "No, No it will be fine"

Wrong again!!!

Just how long do you have to say it before they actually notice- IT HAS NOT RAINED!!!!!

: Well MArty, we're yet once again shoveling snow! Yes indeedie we got 6 good inches last night, Fri night, but oh so relieved as they forcast 10 " so yipee!

Carl will be out on the old Allis Chalmers , it huffing and puffing to try to find a place to push this last bit. Sky is still dark but we're hoping it just hangs there till it moves on Meanwhile watching westerns on TV and

cooking up a batch of homemade soup.

It would certain be safe to say the the list of what I'm NOT going to do will much shorter--like sleep, relax and socialize--and not of that happening this weekend. Suffice to say the minis are moving to their new place we have a ton of remodeling to do to accomodate them and that is on top of all the usual stuff.

It is green and the harness is brand new, and looks like a pile of worms to me, but Liz said she will try and help me with that! I am so excited though.[/SIZE]

Met a really really nice lady that loves her mini horse! Got to see Liz and her 2 Wild Men! ( Thanks for the Birthday present Liz, Bad Girl!)
