I have a 2 year old filly who has taken up wood chewing as a hobby.

I have tried all the usual tricks and she doesn't care about any of them, chews right through whatever I put on the wood.

I finally got a gallon of the Halt Cribbing Coating and applied it yesterday. She left the wood alone for most of today, but this afternoon ate a big 6 inch by 8 inch section of the surface off the wood that was coated in the Halt Cribbing stuff.

Now she has diahrea, otherwise acting fine, eating and drinking, yadda yadda.

I can't find any information on the side effects of them eating it. I have a call into the company that makes it but they won't be open until tomorrow.

Anyone have any experience with this stuff???

I've used Halt Crib, and so far my horses have pretty much left alone anything that's been coated with it. Maybe a bite or two, here and there; but no major chewing where I treated wood. Don't know what any side effects might be, mine don't seem to like the stuff.
