THANKS for the info!

Quest is bad... very bad. Thank heavens my stable is too cheap to use it on my horse.. because they dont really care about the horses' health! (Which is why Im hopefully leaving soon!)

Very good article! I might add too, that since that article came out, Praziquantel is the current drug of choice for deworming for tapeworms.

I just attended a vet. clinic which was put on by Fort Dodge, along with my vet. The main topic was worming. Mostly in great deal about Quest and Quest Plus. During question time..I asked him and told him how I felt about the Quest product, basically that it should be pulled off the market! (dont think he was to happy to hear my7 comments at all :bgrin ) anyways, after I told him about the package itself and no warming for mini owners..he told me there was..THE DOSAGE, when I told him about minis who had died..he said ..it was the owners fault for overdosing, (gosh this guy was making me mad at this point!) and went on and on about Quest being perfectly safe for ALL horses, incl. minis. My vet dont like quest herself, and thinks the same as I do about it. What I am saying here is --do you think it would help if we all emailed Fort Dodge, and informed them that it isnt right for there reps who put on these clinics to sound like Quest is perfect for minis and not forwarn the people about the problems using it with minis? I even talked to this rep. after the clinic and he wouldnt give me the time of day to hear what I had to say about minis and Quest. Just insisted it was clearly labeled and its the owners fault because of the dosage. I have another clinic in 2 weeks. Any questions anyone would like me to ask, or mention?? Youcan email me if you would like. Corinne

Thanks This is what we need to do. !!!!!!!!!!!

BLESS OUR LITTLE FRIENDS

Please Put this up on a New TOPIC

WE need to hit the Reps and Company about our Concerns.

This would be a great opportunity.

Wish I could be there!!!!!!!!

So you are our VOICE

Maybe they need to lower the amount of Moxidectin in their paste for MINIS

You can mention Dr. Stephan Jacobs from their Quest Company,

is dealing with a case Just as you speak.

Of My MINIATURE GELDING DIEING ( Was not overdosed )

The arguement about how it was the DOSAGE and that it was the OWNER'S FAULT just doesn't fly.

What about the occasion when a VET did the worming????? End result was the colt went into seizures and died.

This happened to a close friend of mine, but since it didn't happen to me FIRST HAND I bet Ft. Dodge would call it a "rumor"!

I am going to print all this out and take everyones comments along to my next clinic. I will start a new topic on everyones concerns and comments on Quest or Quest Plus. so PLEASE put all your questions and concerns in that topic. I feel we need to ban together and get SOMETHING done about this. I dont know how much good it will do, but I will be glad to be EVERYONES VOICE at this clinic. Corinne
