THE FUN ALL STARTS TODAY - THE AUCTION IS UP AND RUNNING!
Even in these slow times you can still wish upon a star and your dreams may come true !

Have you seen the Renewed AMHR Stallion Sweepstakes?

1. 48 stallions have been nominated, making this the largest stallion sweepstakes in AMHR history
2. The quality of these stallions includes many of the top producing and winning horses in the country
3. There are multiple National Grand Champions
4. There are stallions that are producing national champions
5. There are halter and/or driving horses that are the top performers in the country
6. You may choose from both over and under stallions
7. Many of these stallions do not stand to outside mares, except through programs like this one
8. Even if you do not show, here is a phenomenal opportunity to introduce some of the best bloodlines in the nation into your herd
9. In these trying economic times, the Sweepstakes offers an affordable way to benefit from some of the most influential breeding programs in the country

Thanks to all the farms that nominated their best and put their faith in this program.

I would like to thank Jean for her many many hours of putting this together. You have outdone yourself Jean.

Jean, can we let everyone see the $weep$take$ awards. You guys are not going to believe them. I think Bruce said they are 22 inches tall. He has been searching for just the perfect ones for us and I think he did a wonderful job. There will be two awards. One for the overs and one for the unders. Can you imagine one of those sitting on the coffee table. You will flip out when you see them.

Also, we have a lot of work to do now to get the $pecial $weep$take$ book done. We will need pictures of all the $weep$take$ $tallion$. Tara has offered to put together this hard covered very classy AMHR $weep$takes Book and have it on the table at this falls Nationals. Renee

Here is one of the trophies....yes, it is approx. 22 INCHES TALL !! The other one will be very similar but I believe a different color of horse. The committee chair and co-chair sure had a lot of fun going shopping. I sure am impressed...how about you?

And what a pretty trophy to have on your table or fireplace!!!!

I have a question. Can you have someone else show the foal at nationals? I would like to bid but I dont think I would be able to make it to nationals to show the foal.

Absolutely. This is NOT a 'bred-owned-shown by' class. You can have anyone handle the foal in that class.

In fact, if the mare owner wants to sell the mare, the new owner (or their handler) can show the resulting baby, as long as the amount bid has been paid to the Sweepstakes, and as long as the mare is DNA'd before Dec. 1.

Ok. Thanks, is it absolutly nessesary to show the resulting foal at nationals? Im worried that by next yr I may find out I cant make it to nationals or can't find someone to show the foal.

Alisha

No - there is no requirement that you must show the foal at the 2010 Nationals. However, for some of these stallions this is the ONLY way you can have your mare bred to them....some of them do not stand to outside mares EXCEPT for this Sweepstakes Auction. So....you come out a winner even if you don't show it!
