how much canadian should I pay ?

Is there a training stable around that you can get some estimates from as to what going rates are. It may be a large horse training centre but the hourly rate would probably be similar. Good luck with your training, and hope you're driving soon as it is a lot of fun.

    It's time to Stop --Smoking

Quitting is a BIG step. Don't beat yourself up when you stumble if you try to quit either. Try quitting 5 minutes at a time. Pretty soon you'll have the day in. I use to smoke 1 1/2 packs a day for a little better than 20 years. Have been smoke free for a little bette than 12 years. It is a...

    Salt blocks or mineral blocks?

We had been offering the three blocks. White, blue and brown (mineral) We are selenium deficient here as well, and when I visited a friend they had an odd ball salt block out and lo and behold it was a selenium block. Thanks to them we now have a selenium block out which I hope turns out to be...

I am looking for trainer in Manitoba

I think she would be a good choice as I think she trains most all of her horses to drive. I have only dealt with her through email, but have found her to be very plesant and quite helpful. Good luck.

    Mares Milk

Well, I guess I was concerned for nothing. Vet says she is fine/normal. When checking any of my other mares when they start to bag up they never had milk that looked like that exactly. Coloring similar, but hers just looked odd. Thanks though.

    West Nile Virus

No flames from here, and hope from no where else as it is a personal choice. I hope he bounces back without any after effects. Hope he is able to make the show.

    Mares Milk

No she hasn't foaled yet. I was wondering more whether the colour was normal more than anything. It has been coming up this colour every time I try to milk her. It just didn't seem right as none of my other mares have been like that. Looks like a waxy material (amber ) floating in what I milk...

    Selling My Baby

I would love to give her a home here in Canada. She is gorgeous, and she will end up with a loving home I'm sure.

    Mares Milk

It is not the sticky like honey I am wondering about. It is the almost waxy like coloured chunks. Is this normal? I have never seen this in any of my other mares. No I don't have any test strips. My husband says it has a look of mastitis (sp) Any thoughts on that kaykay, or anyone.

    Mares Milk

I have a mare that is due soon and have been checking her udder. I tried to milk a bit and was surprised to find what I got. I got a clear solution, BUT in it is an orange/yellow appearance that almost looks like a fine chunky wax. I took a couple pics of it, but pics are not that great. I would...

    New Colt

It is with great sadness that I share with you the loss of our little colt. He went to sleep and didn't wake up. He seemed at rest, and not the least bit uncomfortable, I certainly cannot say that for myself though. He never did get circulation in the lower parts of his limbs I don't think as...

    New Colt

He's about the same today. Long weekend here, trying to get a vet is like pulling hens teeth. I done his feet as was suggested, and have been pumping mare to get extra for him. He seems to be drinking from mom, but I wasn't sure it was enough so I was feeding him as well. Yep, the little...
