    Driving Discussion 2024

I hope they find loving homes that will enjoy them fully. I believe that letting go is part of honoring, even though it's hard. Sending hugs to you.

What's your best weight loss advice?

Is this a situation where perhaps using chasteberry will help?

    Driving Discussion 2024

I thought things got slower in the fall... silly me. Saturday we'd had our driving club AGM. It was a way bigger turnout than we'd expected and I'm thrilled that so many people want to be involved in our little club. I've accepted the president role again this year. After our AGM, I got to go...

    A new ‘hobby!’ (Obsession)

Hi Kaitlyn! Welcome from north-west of Edmonton, Alberta! What a lovely little filly you're acquiring! And how exciting for you and your family. I love showing although I haven't ever been to a "mini horse" show. Mine isn't registered either but she won this year's junior high point...

    2024 Hours Driven

Gosh, the days got shorter and all of a sudden I haven't driven in two weeks!!! So sad!

    Billy

They certainly are their own individuals, aren't they? My stallion is so honorable. Now that he's a senior stallion (14) he's really settled into his own comfort. He has loads of presence, is a bit stoic but affectionate and enjoys being fussed over. His grandson, just 2 right now, is a holy...

    Costumes for minis!

Oh my goodness that is darling!!!! I haven't done a thing for halloween prep but it would be fun to take the littles out for a drive in costumes!

    Crockpot Recipes

I haven't made this one in a long while but it's one of my favorites for potlucks: Chicken 'N Biscuits Dump 4 ish chicken breasts on top of a can of cream of chicken soup with about a half can of milk Sprinkle on whatever frozen veggies you like, corn, peas, etc Cook for a few hours until the...

    Barn time

We should have a crockpot recipe thread so we can spend more time with the ponies and know our families will still have a meal to eat! I'm all for my instant pot too! Just got an air fryer. I think it should be called a countertop convection oven, cause that's really what it is. Anyways...

    I Did a Thing...

You're absolutely right, we could be neighbors! The only time I've been in Mannitoba was the Winnipeg airport. I sure hope you guys get some moisture. Seems the "wet times" of the year have shifted. Today it's drizzling out and juuuust below freezing. Not slippery yet. Hopefully it won't be.

    How's the Weather ?

It's been freezing regularly overnight here. The golds of autumn are everywhere but the leaves will soon be on the ground. That "pretty time" is almost over already. Forecast for snow on Monday. It won't stay yet, but I won't be surprised if we do get some.

New to the mini show world

That's so fantastic!!! I stopped riding for a while because I was unwell, but thankfully had these backburner driving minis that we played with just for fun. When it wasn't safe for me to ride, I could drive, and I found I loved it so much more than riding! I'm the president of a local driving...

    show me your Michigans

@Kenzierose this is a cool old thread you found! Looks like a lot of hackney influence in these horses. I accidentally acquired a hackney pony last fall and he's come around to be a super-cool, albeit quirky, driving pony. I quite like him.

New to the mini show world

Hi Katie! Welcome from Alberta, Canada. How exciting! I love how inclusive mini showing is. I bet your mom will be thrilled to participate again. Will you be driving as well? That's my favorite part. Although we don't do "mini shows", because mine are not registered and there's very slim...
