    Triple Crown Safe Starch Forage

Can you get the plain TC Chopped grass forage? It's probably harder to find than the Safe Starch, but it has no added fat, so lower calories. The carb count isn't guaranteed, but the average is around that 10% level. Just an idea: https://www.triplecrownfeed.com/products/grass-forage/

    2024 crafter's delight - whatcha working on?

The table topper I finished in November. This one is mine. It's actually a tree skirt pattern, but I didn't cut the hole in mine.

    2024 crafter's delight - whatcha working on?

If you hand quilt (I do not, and my machine quilting skills are limited), I'd do a light echo quilting around the embroidery in each block, then perhaps a stitch in the ditch or similar for the sashing.

Do you have more of the yellow from the sashing? If so, a narrow white border around the blocks, then the yellow border. Or maybe a narrow "red" border, then more of the yellow (at least the little flowers in the yellow look red).

    Billy

Just different personalities. My first horse was a half-Arabian gelding, I had him for 24 of his 27 years, he was kind and sweet, but also mischevious, he knock stuff over, if he could. My third horse was a quarter horse mare, she was no nonsense; her daughter likes to rub her teeth on the...

    Crockpot Recipes

beef and noodles... I changed the recipe a bit to suit our needs/tastes. I honestly don't remember the original recipe amounts any more, but think I doubled the amounts, now I just wing it. Brown the round steak in a pan, then transfer to the crock pot (I leave it in "steak form" to brown and...

    Barn time

I need to get back to "barn time", lately, I mostly just get the basics done.

    Triple Crown Safe Starch Forage

Perhaps a handful of his serving without a net, so he can get past the hangry stage of the meal, with the majority netted to slow him down.

And, unlike baled hay, you get very little chaff spread all over your car.

    Grass Pasture & New Mini

Generally speaking, the Mini and Pony feed is not a quality feed, it's too high of carbs for most minis. Sure some horses have done just fine on it, but others have gone downhill and done poorly on it. If she's an easy keeper, which many minis are, then quality grass hay and a ration...

    2024 crafter's delight - whatcha working on?

Here's a pic of the quilt I completed that I didn't have a pic of when I last commented. It's only about 45x55", I'd have to measure, it might be a little bigger.

What color do you think he is?

I couldn't remember which parent was which color.

What color do you think he is?

primatives without dilution are harder to see. I don't see any on my filly, but she has the light colored inner ears and fades like crazy. The nd1 could come from the sire side of it. IIRC nd1 is fairly common in minis.

Anything I should know about using wormer in minis?

I'd at least start with a fecal and determine if your mini is a high-shedder or not; if not, he may only need twice a year deworming, typically ivermectin is most often used in adult minis. If you can weigh on a scale and dose properly, Quest (moxidectin) can be used in healthy minis, but it...

What color do you think he is?

Could just be straight up black, like all colors, black comes in shades too. nd1 is a gene on the Dun locus, it's literally "non-dun 1", it can cause some primitives, usually no dilution (homozygous nd1 can cause a little dilution), and often leads to fading.

What color do you think he is?

I couple of pics of her looking more black, one showing the typical buff colored inner ears of one with nd1 (doesn't always mean nd1, but coupled with her extreme fading, it's a pretty good indicator). I need to get new pics, I've been very remiss in taking pics the last few years.

What color do you think he is?

Knowing he doesn't have silver; then I'm going to lean to black carrying cream with nd1, can't really see the tell tale signs of the nd1, but it can cause fading, so I'll lean that way. This filly is black carrying cream and I'm 99% certain she has nd1, cause she fades like crazy. [I'll post a...

    Preparing wild land for minis

I don't know if California has them, but should, find your County Extension Agent, and get their advice, they should know what is appropriate for your area.

Thank you. I do better with squares/rectangles, when the triangles are involved I have some issues. ;)
