Sewing season is starting up again, so I've just been dipping my toes in to start the season.
No pic, but I finished a top I started last spring, so I'll be headed to quilt guild sewing day this afternoon, so I can use their tables to layer and pin my quilt sandwich to get ready to quilt it.
And, I've started on some blocks to get back into the swing of sewing. Wanted something to practice on before I start working on the Christmas tabletoppers I have planned. So, to that end, I"m working on these blocks. Don't know why the camera flash overexposed the light fabric so much.

Pretty color combination 🙂

Your corners are so perfect.

I accepted a commission to make 50 gourd buttons for the Missouri Button Society spring show in March. The theme is "Missouri--no place like gnome" So they wanted a gnome button. After looking online at all the gnome images, I got worried about copyrights, so decided to create my own design. They will be decoupaged onto gourd. I'm actually having fun; about half down and half to go!
I don't want to show the design until their Show.

I finished embroidering all the little nurser rhymes and got them worked into a top. I need to put a border around and am having troubling finding something. I have a sweet blue flannel for the back with bunnies on it.
Do you have more of the yellow from the sashing? If so, a narrow white border around the blocks, then the yellow border. Or maybe a narrow "red" border, then more of the yellow (at least the little flowers in the yellow look red).

I was thinking red also, but scared of coordinating the red. I tried white and I think it looks best, with the yellow for binding. This is not my "thing" so it's difficult for me. And how would I quilt the blocks? Just leave them? Arrrggh!

If you hand quilt (I do not, and my machine quilting skills are limited), I'd do a light echo quilting around the embroidery in each block, then perhaps a stitch in the ditch or similar for the sashing.

I was thinking of going around the images. I have to find some white fabric before I can finish it. No stores with fabric near me. The Walmart stopped carrying a fabric section. I am thinking a white on white fabric for the sashing.

I did a table at our recent Women's Friendship Dinner. My theme was Harvest Moon. I made slow-stitch cards for the four guests as favors. I'm glad I did an autumn theme as most of the other tables were Christmas or winter. Centerpiece is challenging as there is limited space.
I sat at a table with two young moms and a young EMT. My table was decorated with a beautiful clear glass tree, lit from inside, ringed with a garland of Christmas balls. With lush pink and silver embellishments on the whole table. I forgot to take a picture of this table (silly me). Hosting my table was a local spa, so the favors were beauty items.
The attached photo is my table, minus the bag of homemade cookies I added as a favor.

The table topper I finished in November. This one is mine. It's actually a tree skirt pattern, but I didn't cut the hole in mine.
