Pretty sure he's a black varnish roan - dam is black varnish roan and sire is black pinto - so there's nowhere he could have gotten an agouti gene from. The Lp complex often causes weird shifts to base coats. It'll probably be awhile before he gets any visible color, though. He's been named...
