    OMG What a nightmare!

Yes, I know I am my own worst enemy. It isn't all her fault. Never again (I say, hoping I mean it). He's a good old guy. Fine for walk/trot or easy trail rides (unless you happen onto a herd of mini horses). SIL wants me to ask my friends if she can borrow their trailers to move him to her...

    OMG What a nightmare!

My step-daughter bought a horse (a Paint horse) at an auction last year, brought it home, handled him for two weeks. He kicked her (spooked) and then she didn't handle him again...for six months. Meanwhile, it was up to me to feed and water him- step-daughter did pay for his hay. I have a baby...

    Getting to know each other

We lived in MD when I was a teenager and I would crawl into the foot part of the back seat and hide when we went over the bay bridge...I've never really liked the Coronado Bridge in SD, Cali, either.

    Getting to know each other

Native Californian here, too (SD and LA)! What am I doing in Nebraska? OMG how did I get here? I remember...I got married to a midwesterner. 3 things? 1. I am really scared of spiders-almost phobic. Not afraid of mice, rats, snakes. 2. I love to draw but haven't really taken the time to for...

    Goat and Horse duel

I have a nubian that is the same size as my minis- about 200 lbs. He was disbudded as a kid. They all share the same pen and pasture, no problem and the minis are the boss because they run faster than my nubian; they bite and kick, too, if necessary. But rarely, if ever. I have also kept my...

    Is he good for anything?

Well, he's a pretty color. As far as I know, many horses go through the "yearling uglies". I personally don't see why you couldn't drive him. My horse is over on the knees, toes out in the back, and is very "well fed". I'm ground driving him (so far). Don't despair!

    rehoming my minis

I wish I lived near NY so I could help... but I don't. I still want to wish you the best of luck in finding the perfect home for your long-eared ladies. Sometimes letting go of the ones you love is the greatest gift of love you can bestow. On a lighter note: Welcome to the forum!

    Could use some advice

Sorry to say there is nothing you really can do. It's your cousin's life and she'll do what she wants with it. Fortunately for you, (since she stresses you out so much and you don't like her) she lives three hours away. Be the bigger woman and get her baby a gift and then avoid her like the...

Oh man!! I'm fuming mad!!! Insulted!!! Disgusted!!!

Ok. So I worked at a grocery store and was asked by a store manager (I was a front end manager) to go ask a lady about her receipt in the parking lot.The loss prevention guy and the store manager were already dealing with a shoplifter when they spied the woman acting suspicious. I was...

    CATS!!!!

Awww...Aren't you lucky? They love you! At least it wasn't a snake. My kitty brought one to show me, but it was still alive and got away...in my laundry room!!

Question For thoses of you with long haired dogs or cats

I try to brush my Collie as often as I can, but I also take him to the groomers because with a dozen goats, 4 minis, 2 small kids, 7 cats, and two more dogs (whew! LOL), I don't have enough time to keep up with the tangles. I also have a medium haired Maine Coon cat that is easy to brush- so no...
