What do you do with your "pile"

We have the smaller one 8 cu...with the agitator. We use shavings/sawdust mix and works fine. The pasture we spread it on isnt used for grazing...just big field where I drive.

What do you do with your "pile"

We use a Newer Spreader www.newerspreader.com We have 5 acres, 7 horses...its an AWESOME tool...dont know what I'd do without it! Had it about 5 yrs now. Spreads manure/sawdust so thin barely see it on the pasture, then decomposes nicely.

    round pen size

We have a 30' roundpen with sand base which has become more solid over the years....I find it dreadfully boring to work a horse in a roundpen...helped when I started wearing a radio headset....lol. It is a nice size to start one in long lines.

    Let's share Turkey STUFFING/DRESSING RECIPES

Our "secret family recipe" is really easy...everyone loves it and ask us to bring it to dinner every holiday: Large bag of cubed Pepperidge Farm Seasoned Dressing 1 stick of butter/margerine 1 egg 1 32oz box of chicken broth (more if like it really moist) Follow package directions on baking...

Luxating Patellas (aka Locking Stifles) in Minis

We had the splitting done on a gelding we bought by an Equine Orthopedic Surgeon at Rood & Riddle Hospital in Lexington this past July. This horse has upward fixation of the patella...doesnt lock up...but has a hitch or hesitation when walks...worse if stalled at night. It was a standing...

    A Rule Proposal I just don't understand

That is a "Restriction of Trade" and is basically against the law to limit or restrict an individuals ability to work. The Fair Trade Commission would love to hear that propsal! LOL If the shows offer vendor space and they paid their fee....and are full paid members of AMHR...then they have the...

If You Were King or Queen for a Day of AMHR ...

I'd wave my magic wand and create CHAMPIONSHIP CLASSES for the driving horses. WHY...what is the benefit? -Reward the driving horse...raise him to the CHAMPION level that halter horses receive -ONLY Champion and Reserve Champion horses come back into the Championship Class Advertising in the...
