All mares carry differently. I have a couple mares that are HUGE and then a couple that you wouldn't think were pregnant but they are. So....you cannot know for sure. She does look pregnant to me by the way she is carrying her belly though.

I wouldn't use shavings at all for the first couple of weeks unless they are underneath straw or hay. They are dusty and can get in foals eyes and nose. We use straw or grass hay.

Okay thanks! How to you test them separately? We have just been diluting it and then dipping the strip in for ten seconds. I watch how fast it changes and then compare the color.... Congratz!!! Beautiful.

He is stunning! I would be thrilled Buckskin Dun. I would say frame especially since his eyes are darker blue but you won't know for sure until you test!

Sorry if this is a dumb question.... But do you use separate pool test strips for hardness/calcium and pH?
