    before and after hoof trim

I think my parents would have liked that for our pony growing up. She absolutely hated having her hooves trimmed. I don't think she had bad experiences, she arrived to our farm, with properly trimmed hooves and in good weight for a Shetland.(we have a picture from that day). Best present ever...

First steps(or should that be hoof prints?)

Oh dear, I might be moving, so my entire timeline has completely blown up as I've no real clue as to where I might land, other than likely still in KS. I am totally planning on downsizing if I do though which should mean a smaller mortgage, which means more leeway for trucks and ponies.

    2024 crafter's delight - whatcha working on?

Oh, that is a wonderful idea! I could totally see a double or even triple circle skirt, or a gathered skirt with large godets, in gray, black, navy blue or a hunter green, and near ankle length. It sure as heck won't be cheap, but now you got my mind running. One thing I'd do was make the...

    I Did a Thing...

Thank goodness his drama stayed on the safe side. Return to barn drama can be rather dangerous. I've had some dealings with that, although riding rather than driving. Instead of slow like your Falcor, they wanted to full blown sprint as fast as they could go, a rather dangerous habit(it didn't...

First steps(or should that be hoof prints?)

I had read some of your thread but I went back and read the whole thing. Your little guy has come a long way! I'm excited to see where he goes with you. I don't think I want anything to do with fine harness as a show, as I have no desire for a fire breathing dragon. I'm also massively wary of...

First steps(or should that be hoof prints?)

This place does both riding and driving with more of a focus on riding. I can tell from some of the pictures I've found that they have had people go on to show successfully in driving, but the pictures were from indoor arena shows like Hackney ponies where everyone is dressed super nice and they...

First steps(or should that be hoof prints?)

agreed, I like Morgans for the few times I've met them. I bet the people who do pull the trailer are a hit, showing up with that many bundles of 4 legged joy and excitement.

First steps(or should that be hoof prints?)

yep, she didn't have breeching, and we used what I think they called a breast collar, since we weren't going for a long ride. It went obviously across her chest, I didn't really care for it(or at least that style), because I felt it was to easy to have it sit wrong and be troublesome for the...

First steps(or should that be hoof prints?)

Well, I had my first lesson and I think it went well. Forgot just how much I enjoy even just brushing horses and all the sounds, smells and sights about the barn. It was pretty quiet as I was the last lesson of the day, which I think was great. Olive or Liv the Morgan treated me very nicely...

    Stallions in Ohio

wow! I couldn't find more than a half dozen listings even remotely close to me when I looked about two weeks ago, unless I went someplace like craigslist and what they called ponies where full sized horses most of the time. The more reputable sites were tried and true show ponies or kids riding...
