    Clipping Freedom in upstate NY

Hi Debbie! Gotta love our upstate NY weather... at least later today (Sunday the 5th) is supposed to be warmer! I contemplated selling my Shetland but decided against it! Hubby is not happy but I love showing her and she is so much fun to work with... and they are adding some Classic...

    Clipping Freedom in upstate NY

I think Freedom is the only one who is happy! Oh well, there are bloodroots blooming in the woods by my house on the new trail I made for trail riding Dipper...the daffodils are blooming and the crocuses are almost done...red maples are shedding their blooms... The spring peepers have been...

    Clipping for halter

I always left a bit of the wither hair on so it was apparent where the last actual hairs of the mane are. The big Vs on the tails look silly, especially on foals - JMHO... Denise

    Clipping Freedom in upstate NY

We have had warm weather and Mercy was clipped for her visit to the mall in February and Freedom was looking at my clippers longingly...so I did a quick clip on her last night and bundled her up. She has been shedding in clumps and has been so itchy...and she was loving getting clipped -...

Mare lost mucus plug at 293 days

Hi Karla: Mercy (with her first foal) had a large quantity of stringy, clear blood a month prior to foaling and had a healthy filly...she also was shaping up at 287 days and our vet put her on SMZs, ReguMate and bute (a very, very small amount for its antiprostaglandin effect and she foaled...

    Weatherly under the weather

I like the name! Best wishes for all to go well and post pictures when baby Noah arrives! Weatherly is much better - temp is back to normal, she is playing with Nefertiti as she normally does and she is being her normal self - getting into my manure bucket, investigating the hose (thank...

    Weatherly under the weather

Hi Shana: I may try the yogurt... normally mixing the SMZs with Jello powder and warm water until they dissolved worked on my other horses but not on Weatherly. Her antics yesterday aggravated my elbow, which I hurt lifting stuff out of my truck so I am now in an aircast to support the tendon...
