Well as most of you know, about a month ago I was in the process of purchasing a Mustang gelding, whom I named Keno. Well I worked with him quite a bit, but overall he just wasn't the horse for me. He got along well, but he is going to need way more training and time than I currently have to give. So with that being said, I started my search again. I wasn't expecting to find anything this soon, after only looking at a few this last week. Well today a good friend of mine and I drove up to Washington to look at another Mustang (for some reason, I'm drawn to them)...I fell in love.

"Strider" (needs a new name...suggestions???) is a 5 year old, solid bay, 15hh, Mustang...Stallion... I will be gelding him asap! But honest to god, you would not know this horse is a stallion. He is stalled next to a mare who he pays no attention to. He's been turned out with colts and geldings, of all ages, and gets along great with them. I personally walked him past a mare this afternoon and he didn't do a thing. Kept right on walking on a loose lead. They took him to a Saddle Club get together last weekend, where he was in the same pen as a mare. People kept coming up asking, "How much for the gelding?" When the owner informed them that he was still intact, they didn't believe her. One lady even bent down to look! I rode him around the arena at a walk and he is amazing...by the way, did I mention that he is green broke. Hes only been ridden for the last year. My friend who went with me, she hasn't been on a horse in YEARS and she rode him around. He is so well behaved. She was sitting on him, just standing there talking to us, when he started to walk off. She just let him carry her. He walked over to the corner of the arena, turned around, pooped, then walked right back to where he had been standing and stopped. I couldn't believe it. He is such a lover! This is truely the perfect horse for me. I can't wait to get him home, get him gelded, and get to riding.

So here he is...
