So happy for you that things worked out! Isn't it amazing sometimes how prayers are answered? You were in the right place at just the right time for your sweet foal to receive a new mommy, and that heartbroken mommy now has a foal after all...brings tears to my eyes. Just PRECIOUS!!!! Big...
Congratulations on your new little one!! I'm so sorry about your mare rejecting it though. I'm glad you were able to milk her and get your baby the colostrum it needs, as Chanda said you'll need to be ready to continue that. You'll need to feed regularly every 2 hours. Milk as much colostrum...
Welcome to the world little one! Meet Daffodil, born today 3.27.17.
This weekend I'll be weaning the other 3 lambs, I should have already done it the twins dam is really pulled down. Just wanted to share, they are so cute.
And then there were 8.
Won't be long now!! She's close to 300 days now is that right? You are almost to the nail-biting, any minute, patiently waiting stage that drives us all nuts with wondering and worrying.. Have you got everything that you will and might need ready?
Congrats! Wow that's a nice little guy! Beautiful color and look what a nice topline and neck! It'll be fun for you watching this one mature. So happy for you. Give the new Mom a well done pat... the older broodmares have nothing on this maiden.
btw LOVE the name.

I hope someone will post some photos, I know there is a member here who has posted before and after and correct trimming photos.
For the time being here is a link to hoof care on one of our general health pages. Click Here
One thing about miniatures is that it is imperative to keep them...
Always better to be safe yes I'm not seeing any bag, and no noticeable difference in her vulva. How far along do you think she could be? I know you said you got her and she was vet checked in Oct so that's 5-6 months along..what kind of preg, test did the Vet use?
I do recommend supplements if needed especially the pre and probiotics. Taking into consideration the area you live in test your pasture and/or hay for vitamins and minerals lacking and then supplement those.
I agree with Marsha about the joint supplement, I wouldn't add that one either for the...
Hi I agree with Monas reply. Tammy, instead of trying to take a photo from underneath your mare, can you pull her tail to the side and take one from behind?
