    Finally got Misty driving!!!

Hard to tell which class since you just hitched her up this weekend. I wouldn't rush anything with her. Sometimes you can really stress a horse to do more when they aren't really mentally ready, though she may seem to be, give her a little time to get used to everything that is new - harness...

Wise to take out a loan for a horse?

Why not? You take out a loan for a car and God forbid you get in an accident. But you have insurance. I have made payments to the breeder but it had to be insured. I would think if you are going to take out a loan have the horse insured. As everyone has said on here.

    Varnish roan?

My link Here is my mini Cheyenne. It is from a continuous drive from our driving club last year. People think he is a pintoloosa, but sire is a minimal spot appaloosa and mom was a very loud gray appy!

How to Harness your horse alone

As others have stated "stand" is the most important one. I hitch by myself most of the time and horse was taught that from day one, I always tell him stand he does gets a peppermint, may be cheating a little but it keeps his mind occupied. Leia described it to a "T" and what to follow, that is...

Larry Poulin Clinic - working on "energy"

What a cute little mare. She looks more forward in the second video to me as she seems to be using the hind quarter more pushing off, more impulsion in the second video compared to the first. Different footing too as I think the outside being uneven compared to the indoor. My gelding Cheyenne...

    Finicky eater

My mini Cheyenne usually eats anything that you put in front of him, so I thought. He is on a regiment of Triple Crown Safe Starch and Southern States pelleted feed. He has a hay belly from the winter hay (baled mix of orchard/timothy) really nice stuff, we finished all the baled hay and...

Cost of Grass Hay around the nation

I paid $12.99 for a timothy/orchard mix from NY from the Southern States. It is a 40-50" bale. I have switched back to bagged hay $19.25 (TC Safe Starch). Only one mini though.

    Our "Mini Van"

I haul my mini w/suburban and trailer (good old 1975 model) to our driving club events and everyone thinks there is a big horse in there. I have a mini van but don't think my mini would get in it. We did haul our first mini in the back of a pickup with a cap on the back 12 hours from NY to NC...
